How the pickups are connected to commonly used equipment

Monitoring pickup: A device used for sound collection. Among the commonly used audio monitoring/recording systems, it belongs to the front-end acquisition equipment. The monitoring pickup cannot be used for recording/monitoring on its own, it must be connected to the corresponding system. That is, it must have a storage or output device on the back end to play the role of a pickup.

In the work of pickups, we often encounter many problems, among which the problem of docking with other devices often bothers some users. So how to connect the pickup to the headset/DVR/speaker/network camera? Today, Sizheng Technology will introduce you to several common devices that are connected with the pickup, hoping to solve the user's troubles.

One- and three-wire pickups

Because pickups need to be used on a variety of different devices, most of the monitoring pickups on the market are three-wire. Only a very small number of specially tailored pickups will have a four-wire or 3.5 female output.

Three-wire pickups, three wires are represented

Red Wire: Power Positive

White line: Audio positive

Black wire: Common side (audio/power negative)

Second, docking with equipment

1 with power supply

Because the monitoring pickups have built-in amplification circuits, a little current interference can also cause a large current sound. Therefore, in the selection of power supply, it must be a clean power supply with DC regulated voltage of 12V, and it is taboo to use switching power supply. There are two ways to monitor the wiring between the pickup and the power supply.

3. With audio video recorder (DVR/NVR)

4. With a network camera

It must be noted when accessing the IP camera to achieve synchronous audio and video recording, because most of the pickups can only access the Line In input, and some of the IP camera audio input ports are Mic In, so you must ask the manufacturer when purchasing the audio input mode of the IP camera. The input port of some network cameras is displayed as Mic In, but in fact, it has two input modes, and if you find that there is a problem with the sound after access, you must enter the system interface of the camera to set the audio input mode.

After the pickup is connected to the network camera, it is connected to the switch through the network cable and finally connected to the NVR.

Annotation:

Because most of the pickups on the market are three-wire systems, the common end of the pickups (the black wire of the Sizheng pickup) must be divided into two strands when connecting the back-end equipment and power (ordinary power supply), one is connected to the negative end of the power supply and the other is connected to the negative end of the audio supply.
