Recently, the Baoshan Campus of Huashan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University joined hands with the Gucun Town Party and Mass Service Center to carry out the "'Hand and Self-Integration' First Aid Training" for nearly 120 volunteers and community workers, which is another cooperation in medical security and resource sharing since the two sides jointly launched the "One-kilometer Service Plan" in 2015.
At the event site, the interactive science classroom used by "CPR+AED" allowed volunteers to fully experience the first aid of life and death through the method of "explanation + simulation drill", which could not only learn, but also understand and use.
"Every year, our one-kilometer volunteers listen to medical science training on different topics, such as medication guidance, home rehabilitation, etc., and today is the first time to train with so many volunteers, many of whom are old friends and familiar faces in the community. A volunteer said.
The community workers from Juquan and Poly areas of Gucun Town also participated this time, and they basically lived near the Baoshan Campus of Huashan Hospital, and learning and using first aid knowledge well will help improve their ability to deal with emergencies, which is also a useful exploration of training and empowerment of community governance by both parties.
Nine years ago, Huashan Hospital Baoshan Branch joined hands with the Gucun Town Party Committee to innovatively launch the "One-kilometer Service Plan" relying on the regionalized party building advantage platform. The project recruits party members and community volunteers in Gucun Town, takes the service team as the unit, implements the team leader responsibility system, and continues to provide medical assistance services such as medical guidance, self-service machine use, and escort for outpatient and emergency patients in Baoshan Hospital, and unblocks the two-way volunteer model of "medical volunteers serving residents in the community" and "community volunteers serving patients in the hospital", and builds a red bridge of convenient service for millions of patients in Gucun Town.
Over the past nine years, the "one-kilometer service plan" has helped the hospital overcome the bottleneck of the surge in the number of patients, the shortage of manpower, and the stagnation of the patient's medical experience, from standardized dress to etiquette, from medical procedures to first aid measures, from patient mentality to medical science, the hospital has accompanied and helped volunteers grow all the way with service records and assessment commendations, and has also provided a series of activities such as "Visiting Day", "Open Day" and "Science Day" in various forms, so that the team has the power of "home".
In the past nine years, the project has lived up to expectations, from the applause at the launch venue to the praise from the patients today, the project has participated in a total of 9,796 volunteers, with 39,182 hours of volunteer service, helping the hospital to be awarded the titles of "Shanghai Volunteer Service Base", "Shanghai Volunteer Service One Base and One Brand", "Shanghai Student Social Practice Base" and so on.
"The leaders of each team basically signed up for volunteer service in 2015, so it can be said that we are familiar with every corner of the hospital, and I am 72 years old this year, and it is time to retire. Zhu Guojian, the leader of the fourth group of the outpatient clinic, recalled that at the beginning of the project, he still feels that his memory is still fresh.
