According to reports, the second domestic large cruise ship has a total tonnage of about 142,000 tons, a total length of 341 meters, a width of 37.2 meters, a design draft of 8.17 meters, a maximum draft of 8.4 meters, a maximum speed of 22.7 knots, and 2,144 guest rooms. Compared with the first ship "Aida Modu", the second domestic large cruise ship has undergone a series of optimizations. For example, the gross tonnage increased by 6,700 tons, the total length increased by 17.4 meters, and the number of guest rooms increased by 19.

In order to meet the requirements of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) 2020 and the relevant rules and regulations of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the ship has also added 2 sets of scrubbers and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems.

Up to now, the overall progress of the H1509 ship project is 20.42%, and the design, construction, procurement, logistics and other work are progressing in an orderly manner.

At present, 90.14% of the detailed design has been completed, 74.02% of the production design has been completed, the structural drawing has entered the end, the model balance has been completed before the drawing, and the background model, kitchen and laundry flue and other special balance and key area review are underway, and the solidification of the technical status of the whole ship is about to be completed.

In terms of construction, on the basis of summarizing the engineering experience of the first ship, Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding will move towards the goal of comprehensively building a "Chinese model" for large-scale cruise ship construction, and the application scope of industrial Internet of Things technology, laser welding/robot welding and other automated and intelligent equipment will be further expanded, and will cultivate and form a complex "giant system engineering" covering eight aspects, including design, procurement, logistics, planning, interior decoration, weight control, completion and delivery, and quality and safety management The digital management and control capability effectively supports the rapid and efficient construction of the H1509 ship. At present, 124 of the ship's 699 structural sections have been completed, and the outfitting project has also been fully launched.

As the main enterprise of China's cruise industry chain, Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding gives full play to the leading role of the manufacturing end, actively cultivates and builds a domestic and foreign dual-cycle supply chain system, and has initially established a list and evaluation mechanism of qualified cruise manufacturers independently mastered, forming a cruise supply chain ecology of "1+100+1500" (that is, 1 assembly enterprise + 100 general contractors + 1000 suppliers).

Focusing on the H1509 ship, Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding will explore the establishment of a map of the whole cruise industry chain on the one hand, and continuously improve the local matching rate while continuing to strengthen international cooperation. At present, the main bulk materials used on cruise ships, such as laminated sheets, paints, profiles and outfitting materials, have been fully localized. For some key equipment, we will actively guide international suppliers to cross-border docking with high-quality supply chains in domestic industrial fields such as building materials, transportation equipment, power and electrical, and promote the continuous integration of Chinese elements into the global cruise supply chain and industrial chain.

On the other hand, it fully integrates the upstream and downstream elements of the industrial chain to help realize the coordinated development of the cruise supply chain. Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding will continue to give full play to the technical, talent and management advantages of large-scale assembly enterprises, strengthen the benign interaction with the upstream and downstream parties of the industrial chain such as government supervision and service departments, scientific research institutes, colleges and universities, promote the construction of local cruise supporting industrial clusters, and create a complete cruise industry chain. At present, the procurement of the second domestic large-scale cruise ship project has been completed by 77.61%, the main suppliers have been locked, and the materials have arrived in an orderly manner, which effectively guarantees the production demand after undocking.

According to the plan, after the ship is docked, the whole year will focus on the hull production, carrying, regional outfitting and other construction work, and it is planned to basically complete the main hull in the fourth quarter of this year, and the completion of the built-in area sealing plate and system machinery will also be started one after another. The ship will basically complete the cabin pusher and interior installation in 2025, and achieve the first floating in May of that year, and is scheduled to be undocked at the end of March 2026, start sea trials in June of that year, and be named and delivered before the end of 2026.

It is also understood that the first large-scale cruise ship "Aida Modu" opened its commercial maiden voyage on January 1 this year, and has successfully operated 26 voyages, serving more than 100,000 domestic and foreign guests, and has been widely praised.
