Attention digital enthusiasts: GIGABYTE Z790 series motherboards have imperfect BIOS and may freeze
Recently, I have shared with you a lot of Intel 13th and 14th Gen Core processors that may have problems with unstable game running and crashing. In addition, it also shared the news that there are serious flaws in the design and manufacturing of MSI Z790 motherboards, and a large number of South Bridge chips have cracks that cause abnormal computer operation.
In the past, the editor used a word called "intensifying", which is definitely not deliberately eye-catching and exaggerated, but an "objective" evaluation. At present, questions and complaints about Intel's 13th and 14th generation Core processors and Z790 motherboards are still emerging.
As the saying goes, "happy families are all alike, while unhappy families are unhappy in their own way", and the same is true for digital products, including motherboards. A good motherboard is often made of solid materials, rich interfaces, and stable operation, which can maximize performance and experience, while the problems of a bad motherboard may be strange.
Simply put, the motherboard's BIOS design is not perfect (beta version), and when users enter the BIOS settings for a period of time (usually within a minute), they may experience unresponsive and stuck mouse and keyboard presses.
Two points should be added and emphasized on this issue:
1. GIGABYTE Z790 motherboards are not limited to a specific model, but can be found in a variety of models, including but not limited to the Z790 AORUS PRO X, Z790 AORUS ELITE X WIFI7, Z790 AORUS ELITE X WIFI7, etc.
Second, not limited to a specific Intel 13th or 14th generation Core processor, from the Core i5-13600K series to the latest Core i9-14900K series may overturn.
In other words, Gigabyte's Z790 series motherboards paired with Intel's 13th and 14th Gen Core mainstream processors and above may have the problem of BIOS stuck, which is obviously mainly due to the imperfect BIOS design of the motherboard.
If you are currently using GIGABYTE Z790 series motherboards and are experiencing these issues, it is recommended to take a conservative attitude and not mess with the operation to avoid the problem getting worse, and please be patient and wait for the official release of the newer, stable BIOS.
If you haven't flashed the recent new BIOS yet, it is strongly discouraged to flash it, and if you have already flashed, if it is not necessarily necessary, try not to enter the BIOS for the time being to avoid encountering these problems.
Judging from the various known situations, whether it is Intel or the major downstream motherboard manufacturers, they are a little distracted about the 13th and 14th generation Core processors and related adaptation work, resulting in various problems emerging one after another, which greatly affects the user's experience.
However, the good news is that the Gigabyte Z790 motherboard is mainly a software problem, and only the beta BIOS has this problem, unlike the MSI Z790 motherboard, which is a southbridge motherboard with cracks. Therefore, this problem is much lighter and easier to solve, and although it is indeed a depressing problem, there is no need to worry too much.
