On the occasion of the 29th "World Book Day", the Xi'an Municipal Committee of the China Democratic National Construction Association recently held a theme activity of "Mountain High and Man Peak" World Book Day.
At the event site, Ren Xiubo, the winner of the "May Day Labor Medal" in Shaanxi Province and the director of the first geodetic survey team of the Ministry of Natural Resources, gave a keynote report entitled "The Mountain is High and the Man is the Peak", sharing the touching deeds of the surveyors who are not afraid of hardship and sacrifice, and the seven measurements of Mount Everest. Subsequently, Mr. Jin Zhong, the gold medal lecturer of the lecturer group of the Fanshu Readers Cultural Service Center, brought a special lecture entitled "Kindness is like water - 7 good habits of excellent leaders", leading everyone to understand the profound philosophy contained in the Tao Te Ching.
Through this activity, the participants not only felt the "scientist spirit" and "great country craftsman spirit" of surveyors who bravely climbed the peak, dared to be the first, pursued the truth, and rigorously studied science, but also felt the excellent philosophical wisdom and cultural spirit of traditional Chinese from the Taoist classics. Everyone said that in the future work, they should continue to improve their self-cultivation, strengthen their patriotic beliefs, cultivate patriotic feelings, strengthen cultural identity, actively perform their duties, contribute to the economic and social development and harmonious progress of Xi'an, and strengthen their souls for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
