The corps held a grand military poetry recitation competition of "Strengthening Heroic Spirit and Strengthening Military Morale".

In order to further prosper the creation of military poetry in the new era and fully demonstrate the unique charm of military poetry, according to the annual "strong army style" mass cultural activity plan and the implementation plan of the "new era concept of struggle", from April 18th to 19th, the Yunnan Armed Police Corps strictly organized the "Strong Heroic Spirit, Strong Military Spirit" military poetry recitation competition, aiming to stimulate the interest of the majority of officers and soldiers in reading, discover the patriotic stories behind the poems, guide officers and soldiers to feel the beauty of poetry, and stimulate the will to love the country and strengthen the army.

The competition invited 7 expert groups, including the broadcast director of Yunnan Radio and Television Station and the associate professor of the School of Chinese Language and Literature of Yunnan University, to form a jury to score the contestants on the spot from the three parts of recitation content, language expression and artistic effect, ensuring that the competition is fair, just and open.

Contestants from 24 grassroots units, after fierce competition in the preliminaries and finals, in the end, the contestants Shang Xiangang, Zhou Chentao, Yang Yibo, Luo Chao, Zhao Pengcheng and Zhang Hua won the first, second and third prizes. The major general and political commissar of the corps presented awards to the winners on the spot.

"The military body is a blade, and iron is made into steel, only with loyalty, dreams can be turned into eagle wings, and only by taking root in their own duties, can soldiers embrace the sun of Yunling. Most of the on-site poetry works are original works of officers and soldiers, and the contestants talk about their feelings and experiences around the history of the army, battle stories, heroic spirit, and military perceptions, and use sonorous and powerful voices to convey their infinite loyalty to the motherland and their deep feelings for the army and the station.

Perhaps there is always a poem or a word that will take root in people's hearts and illuminate our way forward.
