Among the photos and drawings I plan to send out in the nine-square grid, the first and second are the prints "Spring Tide" from the collection of the National Art Museum of China. The third is the Chinese painting "Spring Tide". It should be during the National Day holiday in 2018, I went to the National Art Museum of China to visit the series of exhibitions celebrating the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up: "Oriental Wind Comes Full of Spring and Highlights from the Collection of the National Art Museum of China (1978-2018)".
Among them, I want to read Yan Han's black-and-white woodcut "Spring Tide" carefully and carefully again in the closest way. This picture was first seen in February and March 1979, when Jia Yan Li Youran took me to visit the painter Yan Han, a 10-square-meter room in Beiguanfang, along the south coast of Houhai, Beijing.

This so-called nine-square grid, of which the fourth, fifth, and sixth are the codex of Yan Han to Li Youran and his own resume. On February 24, 1982, Yan Han wrote a codex to Li Youran and wrote his resume, which led me to the aesthetic yearning in the field of beauty.
Naturally, the handwritten manuscript of Yan Han to Li Youran and my own resume in my collection have a solution to the fine exhibition "Spring Tide" from the collection of the National Art Museum of China, but many people have not noticed that there are still two kinds of "Spring Tide" in "Spring Tide", such as woodblock prints and ink paintings, so I have reason to remind you here.

He was born in 1916 in Fu'an Village, Donghai County, Jiangsu Province.
In 1938, he graduated from the preparatory department of the painting department of the National Hangzhou Art School, and in the same year, he entered the Fine Arts Department of the Lu Xun Academy of Art and Literature in Yan'an.
From 1939 to 1942, he successively worked in the Luyi Woodcarving Working Group, Xinhua Daily (North China Edition), and Luyi Branch in Southeast Shanxi. Create some woodcut illustrations, New Year's paintings, portraits, etc.
From 1943 to 1945, he returned to Yan'an as a faculty member of the Luyi Art Department, creating some single woodcuts, New Year's paintings, and comic books that reflected the fighting life of the people in the base areas behind enemy lines.
From 1946 to 1948, he taught at the Fine Arts Department of North China University in the Liberated Area, creating a number of one-piece prints and New Year paintings reflecting the land reform and the War of Liberation.
From 1949 to 1956, after the liberation of the country, he served as a professor at the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts and the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and was also engaged in creative work in the Chinese Artists Association for a period of time. He created woodcuts and oil paintings about China's revolutionary war, land reform and socialist construction.
From 1957 to 1966, he created some woodcuts and illustrations on the history of the Chinese revolution and socialist construction.
Since 1973, he has created some single woodcuts, illustrations, and Chinese landscape paintings with realistic themes and revolutionary history as the theme.

The nine-square grid further revealed: the seventh painting is Yan Han carved "Spring Tide" in the courtyard of Beiguanfang by borrowing the light from the window in the Burrow. The eighth is a woodcut of Yanhan on the cover of the "High Chinese Selection" in Hejiang Province, where the Northeast Bureau of the CPC Central Committee is located, in 1946, which contains the essay "Glory Belongs to the Red Army" written by Li Youran when he was a member of the cultural work leading group in Hejiang Province. The ninth is a woodcut on the cover of the third issue of "Huailai Literature and Art" made by Yan Han in 1979, and the text contains Li Youran's essay "In the Name of the Martyrs" recalled in Huailai.

From September 30 to October 21, 2018, the National Art Museum of China (1978-2018) hosted the "National Art Museum of China Celebrates the 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening-up Series Exhibition: Oriental Wind Comes to the Eyes of Spring: Masterpieces from the Collection of the National Art Museum of China (1978-2018)" in Beijing. And on the 20th, I once again reminded myself that this exhibition is very interesting, exhibiting the collection of the National Art Museum of China, created from 1978 to the present.
In addition, there are 101 oil paintings, prints, sculptures, watercolor (pastel) paintings, and installation works. Here it is said that the positive and negative, human nature and character, can be compared to the work - the handwriting is like yesterday, the sun and the moon can be seen. Please read the eulogy written by Liu Dahai, one of the editors of Huailai Literature and Art, just after Li Youran's death, which specifically says:
"After I resumed my work, I still edited "Huailai Literature and Art". When I was editing the first issue of the magazine, I sent a letter of invitation to a writer who had worked in Huailai County and was familiar with him. Lu Jian, Tu An, Zong Pu, Duanmu Yuliang, Zhu Keyu, Feng Jiannan... all sent works, and Yan Han carved a woodcut for the cover, but he was the first to send a work: "In the Name of the Martyrs". ”

As you know, Huailai is the hometown of Dong Cunrui's martyr - he moved the heavens and the earth!
Huailai will change greatly, and no one will recognize it in the future. But even in the infinite future, Huailai will always grow Dong Cunrui's Huailai, and Dong Cunrui will always grow in this Huailai; there is only one Huailai, and there is no second one! How glorious! Huailai people are glorious, and people like me who live in Huailai are glorious. All Chinese people are glorious. Glory to the people of the world. The most glorious is the Huailai people!
The members and cadres of the society have treated me well, and I am grateful to them! I have many peasant friends, all of whom are real peasants, and because of them, they are all true friends! There are many people I miss. Here, I will mention a few people very briefly:
One is my landlord, Lao Du, Comrade Du Yuanqing. He's very old, and I wish him a long life! He's illiterate, but he's very wise. Often, when the night is late, I am still reading or writing on the kang, he is asleep, I feel that he is wisdom, I am beside him, I am with wisdom, I am combined with wisdom. One day, I carried water, from the mountain down to the high mountain, he just came back from the field, I saw that I was struggling, he didn't say a word, just looked at me affectionately, the depth of the feelings, is praise, is encouragement, is pity, I get support!
The two members, uncle and nephew, discussed writing a manuscript, which was very well written and sent to the newspaper for publication. It was a compliment to me, and I thanked them, but I repeatedly advised them not to send it. At this time, they said, "You are really good, and you are useful to us, but we want you to go back and do your old work, which is much more useful, much greater—— and the peasants have the idea of doing their best!"
I also know a worker, Comrade Wang Hongbin. He was smart, could write poetry, and he wrote very quickly. I don't know how many more poems I have written? Just as my peasant friends are all real peasants, and because of this, they are all real friends, Master Wang is a real worker, that is, a real friend! One day, he silently gave me ten yuan! I sent it back, and I returned it twice, and finally, I asked someone to pass it on to him.
How much money can a worker have? Ten dollars is equal to 10,000 dollars! Money has a number, but affection has no number. Money can be repaid, but affection cannot be repaid. - What can't be repaid is affection!
A female student who longed to study medicine also reminded me of her a lot. Today, in our new China, all legitimate, reasonable, and bright aspirations can be fulfilled sooner or later. I hope she has already become a doctor—— our doctors have come out of the countryside, our scientists have come out of the countryside, our artists have come out of the countryside, and all our talents have come out of the countryside!
There was a time when I lived in a brick factory. During the day, I worked with the young workers - carrying bricks, I cherished bricks from then on, and I felt sorry to see good bricks being thrown away. It is not easy to burn the bricks successfully, but it is very convenient to break them! At night, when they study with them, they no longer have any interest in studying; but since they have studied together, most of them have become angry and work hard! One of them also liked Li Bai's poems very much, and he could memorize many of them. Later he became the captain of the culture team.
In my last year, I taught foreign languages, and it turned out that young men and women in rural areas can learn everything, including foreign languages. -- Teenagers in the countryside are never, no, smarter than teenagers in the cities!
I wrote these articles at the request of Comrade Editor. I would like to take this opportunity to send a letter to my friends who have come to my arms, to pay tribute to them, to wish them good health, and to greet them!
