I'm from Jiangxi and I'm a typical southern girl. The in-laws' family is in Shandong, and the wedding room prepared for us is an old house with a long history. When we got married, our in-laws specially carried out a comprehensive interior and exterior renovation so that we could have a warm and comfortable home.

There is no bed in the bedroom, but a large and spacious kang with heating inside, and it is very pleasant to lie on the warm and comfortable kang in winter. Nowadays, when I go back to the south in winter, I feel a little uncomfortable because there is no heating there, and when the cold hits, I feel like I have nowhere to hide.

The kitchen has a unique design and is cleverly divided into two smaller rooms. One room is decorated in a modern style, with cabinets, range hoods and other facilities to facilitate daily cooking. The other retains the traditional earthen stove, which is unique in our village, retaining the traditional charm and incorporating modern conveniences.
