On April 13-14, 2024, the Computing Strategy Seminar of the Distributed Computing and Systems Committee of the China Computer Federation (CCF) (CCF DCSS 2024) was successfully held in Zunyi, Guizhou Province.

On April 13-14, 2024, the Computing Strategy Seminar of the Distributed Computing and Systems Committee of the China Computer Federation (CCF) (CCF DCSS 2024) was successfully held in Zunyi, Guizhou Province. The conference was hosted by the China Computer Federation and jointly organized by the Distributed Computing and Systems Committee and Zunyi Normal University. With the theme of "Computing Power Distribution and Interconnection, Data Intelligent Empowerment Industry", the conference focused on the development opportunities and challenges of computing power facility construction in the new era, including 4 invited reports, 5 youth reports and 1 industry-university-research-government exchange activity. More than 120 experts, scholars and business representatives attended the meeting, focusing on the strategic planning of computing power and the construction of computing facilities in the new era, talking about international cutting-edge academic views, and discussing the digital transformation ideas of western industrial cities.

The opening ceremony was held on the morning of April 13. Professor Chen Guoliang, CCF Fellow, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and High-Performance Computing Expert, Deputy Chief Designer of the "Tianhe" Series Supercomputer, Professor Hu Qingfeng of the National University of Defense Technology, National Ten Thousand Leading Talents, Director of the CCF Distributed Computing and System Committee, Professor Guo Deke of the National University of Defense Technology, Professor Tang Zhuo, Chairman of the Conference and Executive Dean of the School of Information Science and Engineering of Hunan University, Zhang Xiantao, President of Alibaba Cloud "Wuying" Business Division, Member of the Standing Committee of the Zunyi Municipal Party Committee, Wang Long, Deputy Mayor of the Municipal People's Government, Professor Chen Zhisong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Zunyi Normal University, Professor Liu Yanmin, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Zunyi Normal University, Li Yuan, Director of Zunyi Big Data Bureau, He Jiaqin, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Xinpu New District, Zunyi City, and guests attended the opening ceremony. At the opening ceremony, Vice Mayor Wang Long first delivered a speech to welcome the guests and thanked people from all walks of life for their concern for the development of Zunyi's digital economy. Vice Mayor Wang Long pointed out that "computing power is the development force of the digital economy era", and Zunyi is in the stage of rapid growth in demand for computing power, and it is an important task to promote the construction of computing infrastructure and build an artificial intelligence computing power highland. He said that the Distributed Computing and System Committee will hold the meeting in Zunyi, an old revolutionary base area and an important industrial city in the west, which is a major support for the people of Zunyi to carry out scientific and technological innovation activities, and the experts' transmission will have a far-reaching impact on the digital transformation of traditional industries in Zunyi. Finally, Vice Mayor Wang Long sincerely invited all experts and scholars to come to Zunyi to discuss and study.

Subsequently, Secretary Chen Zhisong thanked the China Computer Federation and the Distributed Computing and Systems Committee for handing over the right to host this strategic seminar to Zunyi Normal University, which is the trust and support of Zunyi Normal University. He gave a comprehensive introduction to the history and mission of Zunyi Normal University, the development of information disciplines, and the integration and development of the local economy and society. He said that Zunyi Normal University hopes to use this conference as a link to gather academic resources, make academic friends, and broaden academic horizons, so as to seek new ideas and expand new ways for the development of computer science and the improvement of scientific research level of the college.

Finally, Director Guo Deke delivered a speech to thank the local government, the host university, the organizing committee and volunteers for their hard work. Director Guo emphasized that this strategic seminar is the first attempt of the Distributed Computing and Systems Committee, and it is also the first seminar of the Distributed Computing and Systems Committee, which can be held in Zunyi, a city of transition and a famous red city, which not only has important academic significance, but also contains a special historical symbol. Researcher Tan Guangming, director of the High Performance Computer Research Center of the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, focused on the theme of "High Performance Computing Performance Engineering" and introduced the current performance crisis in the field of high performance computing. Starting from the theoretical foundation of performance engineering, combined with high-performance computing optimization technology, he advocated the development of performance engineering systems and explored solutions to performance crises.

Dr. Zhang Xiantao, President of Alibaba Cloud Shadowless Business Unit, gave a report on "End-to-End Computing Power to the Cloud: A New Form of Computing Power Interconnection and Collaboration". Dr. Zhang's report analyzed the evolution from traditional computing to cloud computing, and clarified that cloud computing is an advanced form and commercial implementation of distributed computing. He took Alibaba Cloud's Feitian computing architecture as an example to interpret the development status and market demand of device-side computing power in detail, and advocated the deep integration of distributed computing and device-side computing power, so as to effectively accelerate the migration of device-side computing power to the cloud and promote the collaborative progress of device-side computing power and cloud computing.

Professor Qiu Tie of Tianjin University pointed out the main challenges faced by the Industrial Internet of Things in two aspects, namely the dynamics of the Internet of Things nodes in the automatic production line and the real-time change of the network topology of industrial equipment. Professor Qiu introduced the theoretical perspective of network interconnection robustness, demonstrated the robust quantitative measurement model and network coding design method, and further proposed a self-learning algorithm based on topological evolution, which provides a revolutionary high-robust topology networking method for the industrial Internet of Things.

Professor Tian Chen's report was titled "Exploration of Network Digital Twin for Computing Power Interconnection", which deeply discussed the development and challenges of network digital twin technology. He emphasized that the current network digital twin system is facing the problems of large data volume, high resolution requirements, and limited computing and hardware resources. In response to this challenge, Tian Chen's team decoupled the measurement task from the underlying hardware based on the reconfiguration of the real-time task of network measurement, which improved the efficiency and flexibility of the network digital twin and further promoted the practical exploration and technological progress of the network digital twin technology.

In addition, Professor Chen Quan of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Dr. Song Liwei of Huawei Cloud Architecture and Technology Innovation Department, Guo Kai, Director of Loongson Zhongke (Hefei) Technology Co., Ltd., Gu Rong, Researcher of Nanjing University, and Professor Xu Zichen of Nanchang University, respectively, focused on "Server Inductive Computing System for Memory Pooling Architecture", "Performance Optimization of Large-scale AI Clusters", "Loongson CPU Ecology and AI Computing Ecology", "Research on Intelligent Elastic Cache for Cloud Native Computing Power and Its Open Source Application", " Large-scale Computing Performance Optimization and Consistency Assurance in Server Inductive Computing Scenarios: Strategies, Models and Practices" and other topics were shared. The invited reports and youth reports of the conference were presided over by Professor Tang Zhuo, Professor Zeng Deze and Professor Yu Dongxiao respectively.

On the morning of April 14, the representatives of the conference visited the Zunyi Urban and Rural Planning Exhibition Hall, Zunyi Software Park and other places to further understand the development of the digital economy in Zunyi City. After the visit, the CCF Distributed Computing and System Committee, Zunyi Big Data Bureau, and Xinpu New District Management Committee jointly held an exchange symposium on "Entering Xinpu and Integrating Computing and Diagnosis" to provide on-site expert consulting services for representatives of Zunyi's information industry. This symposium pointed out the development direction for the joint construction of a scientific research and practice community and the integration of local computing resources into the national computing platform, and helped the local government clarify the idea of developing the computing economy, which is of great significance for the economic and social development of Xinpu New District to anchor the high-quality development of new productive forces. During the meeting, Xinpu New District also held an appointment ceremony, and invited four members of the special committee to serve as research consultants for the computing power industry in Xinpu New District.

Before the opening of the conference, the Distributed Computing and Systems Committee also organized other rich activities. On the morning of April 12, Director Guo Deke led some representatives of the special committee to carry out party building activities at the site of the Zunyi Conference, learn the historical facts of the Red Army's Long March, comprehend the spirit of the Zunyi Conference, and reserve spiritual energy for bravely climbing the peak of science and technology. On the afternoon of April 12, Guo Deke, Du Junchao, Ye Liu, Li Zhetao, Zeng Deze, Chen Xu, Chen Quan, Xu Zichen, Li Cheng and other committee members carried out the CCF into Zunyi Normal School and participated in the Expert Seminar on the Discipline Construction and Development of "Computer Science and Technology" of Zunyi Normal University. The experts listened to the development of the discipline in the past five years, put forward pertinent suggestions and solutions around its future development goals and tasks, and pointed out the direction for the next development.

The 2024 CCF Distributed Computing and Systems Committee Computing Strategy Seminar organized expert reports, academic and talent training seminars, information and other activities with rich content and novel forms, providing a broad communication platform for participants. The experts, scholars, business representatives, and government department representatives who participated in the meeting fully exchanged the latest research results, and deeply discussed the current situation and problems of computing infrastructure construction in Zunyi and the whole of China, which will inject new vitality into the development of Zunyi's digital economy and the improvement of new quality productivity.
