Welcome the Guyu solar term and experience traditional Chinese culture

On April 16, when the Guyu solar term was coming, Nanwan Street, Tianshan District, Urumqi City, held an event to welcome the Guyu solar term in the Chengjiao Institute of Xinjiang University of Arts. Activities such as tasting Guyu tea, listening to the guzheng, eating chuncakes, and making handicrafts related to the Guyu solar terms allowed participants to immerse themselves in the traditional Chinese culture contained in the seasonal solar terms.

Before and after the valley rain is an important time for the peony flower to bloom, therefore, the peony flower is also called "valley rain flower", which is the only flower named after the solar term. On April 17, the Erdaoqiao Community of Erdaoqiao Street, Tianshan District, Urumqi City, organized the theme activity of "Guyu Knows the Season, Culture Nourishes Children's Hearts" 24 solar terms Guyu. During the activity, under the guidance of the teacher, the children carefully painted the peony flowers in their hearts with their pens.
