At the same time, it was mentioned that in March 2024, the Beijing Consumers Association conducted a comprehensive comparative test of these two types of products in order to have a deeper understanding of the performance and quality of wireless vacuum cleaners and wireless floor scrubbers on the market. In the future, the Consumer Association will carry out in-depth comparative tests of home appliance related products. The standard fully considers the diversity of current products, the richness of functions and the trend of intelligence. The technical indicators are closer to the current technological development and market trends, which helps to promote the technological progress and product innovation of the vacuum cleaner and cleaning robot industry. Among them, the technical indicators of "leakage of harmful substances" and "sterilization rate" for vacuum cleaners are proposed for the first time in the industry to meet the needs of the market and consumers for the healthy and safe design and function of cleaning equipment, and the "mobility ability" project for cleaning robots reflects the revision of standards and guides the design and development of future products from the perspective of consumer ease of use. She pointed out that in order to screen out the floor cleaning products with high performance on the market, according to two standards, Zhongjiayuan (Beijing) Testing and Certification Co., Ltd. launched the "Floor Cleaning Appliance Clean +" certification. The certification provides consumers with a clear and unambiguous consumption reference with intuitive and quantitative indicators, helping consumers make more informed purchase decisions.
Li Xiaohua, senior engineer of the Spatial Image Processing Laboratory of the Institute of Information and Communication of Peking University, explained the landing thinking of large language models in the home appliance industry. He elaborated on the development status of large language models, the integration with the home appliance industry, and the landing experience. This paper introduces common large models, including computer vision models and natural language processing models, and interprets the natural language processing models in detail from the aspects of commercialization/API calls, open source models/secondary development, local deployment, and daily use/efficient office. The application of large language models in home appliances is widespread, mainly reflected in intelligent language assistants, smart home control and personalized decision-making. Large language models can be integrated into home appliances to provide voice interaction, information query and other services, can be combined with smart home systems, control home appliances through voice commands, and can also provide personalized settings or recommendation services for home appliances according to users' usage habits and preferences. Finally, the experience of the implementation of large language models was shared from the aspects of privacy protection, deployment optimization, and whole-house intelligence.
Yue Jingsong, deputy chief engineer of the Testing Institute of China Household Electrical Appliances Research Institute, introduced the performance standards of household dry vacuum cleaners and household floor scrubbers, and conducted data analysis on the comparative tests of the two products. He mentioned that the current performance standards for household dry vacuum cleaners include the current national standard GB/T 38048.2-2021 "Surface Cleaning Appliances Part 2: Performance Test Methods for Household and Similar Dry Vacuum Cleaners" and the industry standard QB/T 1562-2023 "Household and Similar Vacuum Cleaners"; Through the comparison test of dry wireless vacuum cleaner and wireless floor scrubber, it is found that in terms of cleaning ability, the dust removal capacity of the vacuum cleaner and the cleaning effect test results of the floor scrubber are quite different; in terms of battery life, the vacuum cleaner is generally low, and the floor scrubber is basically up to standard; in terms of noise, the vacuum cleaner and the floor scrubber are above 70dB (A), which is high overall; and most of the other items, such as the maximum suction sustaining capacity of the vacuum cleaner, are mostly deviated, and the water recovery rate of the floor scrubber is generally better.
Tian Yali, general manager of the environmental and health electrical appliances division of Aowei Cloud Network, introduced the trend of China's clean electrical appliance industry in 2024. She introduced the scale and year-on-year situation of China's home appliance market by category in 2023, of which the market size of clean appliances in 2023 will be 34.4 billion yuan, an increase of 6.8% year-on-year, and the retail volume will be 25.34 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 0.5%. Since 2016, the growth rate of China's clean electrical appliances market has slowed down, transitioning from high growth to a sustained, stable and slow growth stage. Judging from the market performance in 2024, sweeping robots and floor scrubbers perform better, becoming the dual driving force for the growth of cleaning appliances. The sales volume of sweeping robots was 5.178 million units, a year-on-year increase of 12.9%, the sales volume of floor scrubbers was 6.496 million units, a year-on-year increase of 28.8%, and the sales volume of vacuum cleaners was 2.799 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 12.1%. In terms of sales channels, online is dominated by mainstream e-commerce, emerging e-commerce is growing rapidly, and offline channels continue to expand. Wang Xuan, chief engineer of China Household Appliances Testing Institute, interpreted the technical requirements and the use of logo for the "clean +" certification of floor cleaning appliances. She focused on interpreting the test items, test methods and evaluation requirements of the "Clean +" certification, and the technical requirements of the "Clean +" certification are benchmarked against the requirements of the QB/T 1562-2023 "Household and Similar Vacuum Cleaners" standard (second revision) and QB/T 4833-2023 "Household and Similar Cleaning Robots" standard (the first revision), and the index evaluation is carried out according to the new version of the industry standard. "Clean +" certification test items include basic testing and selection according to product functions, which should be selected as a functional part to select at least 2 tests, and the test results can only be evaluated after meeting the technical requirements;
Qin Weihua, director of the laboratory of Lake Electric Co., Ltd., shared the general technology of floor cleaning appliances. He mentioned that the three major pain points of the industry: first, the problem of quality decoration and cleaning, the complex home decoration environment derives a variety of cleaning needs, a single function can not clean the whole house, ordinary multi-functional machines, in the function of the assembly is too complicated; second, in multiple scenarios, the subdivision function can not achieve the effect expected by consumers; third, the problem of odor of roller brushes and sewage tanks. In response to the pain points, he pointed out that they need to be solved from the product technology itself. The first is to equip a high-power and high-performance waterproof motor, which is the basis for the superior performance of the multi-function vacuum cleaner. The second is the differentiated design in terms of multi-function, which solves the cleaning function of one brush head to cope with both soft and hard floors.
