New Mode: Hero Battlefield Doubles
Hero Battleground Doubles is a new mode of Hero Battleground! In Doubles, you'll team up with your partner to play against three other doubles teams. Each team shares health and armor, so you can see each other's battlefields, communicate with markers, or send cards to your companions through portals.
Changes to the Hero Battlefield (e.g., Hench and Hero updates, seasonal mechanics, etc.) usually apply to both the regular Hero Battlefield and the Hero Battlefield doubles. If you know how to play Hero Battlegrounds, you'll be able to play doubles right away!, but there are also a few features that are exclusive to doubles:
- You can team up with a friend to join a doubles queue, or join a queue alone and team up with random teammates with close scores. You can also play private doubles with a large group of friends, just like a typical hero battleground.
- In Doubles, upgrading to Hotel Levels 4, 5, and 6 will cost 2 more gold than the regular Hero Battlegrounds.
- There are some special minions and heroes that only appear in doubles (see below).
- During the hiring phase, you can switch between the battlefields of yourself and your teammates by tapping the portal on the right side of the screen.
- You can right-click (or double-tap on your phone) any card or button that you or your teammates on the other side of the portal can interact with, including subordinates, spells, inn upgrade buttons, your hero's abilities, and more, to bring up a simple marker menu (similar to a hero's emoji menu). Your teammates can see your markers and respond with their own markers, so you can work together to execute your tactics!
- Drag any card from your hand to the portal and give it to your teammates for 1 gold. That card will appear immediately in the teammate's hand (if the teammate's hand is full, it will appear as soon as there is space in the teammate's hand). But you have to be careful: you can only pass the cards in your hand through the portal. After you've played a hand, you can't move it from the field to your teammate's hand.
- Hero Battlefield Doubles will be separate from the general Hero Battleground, with its own independent points and leaderboards.
Once upon a time... There's a new Hero Battleground Season!
Make your dreams come true in Battlegrounds Season 7 once upon a time at the Inn.
This is a new chapter in the story of the Hero Battlefield, bringing a huge number of novices to shake the Hero Battlefield singles and doubles!
On April 17, Battlegrounds Season 6 will end, and Season 7 will begin at the same time. This means that all points will be reset, Hero Battlefield Missions will be removed, and new Hero Battlefield Tracks will be introduced. All unclaimed Season 6 Hero Battlefield Track rewards will be automatically claimed. Inn spells will no longer be removed and will become a permanent part of the Heroic Battlegrounds in the future. Due to the start of the season, the duration of the round will be temporarily extended, and this change will be reverted in a future update.

Mound (6 armor)
- Passive: Whenever you play a Gold Pawn, you and Gary will receive a 3-in-1 reward.
- Can only be selected when your partner chooses Gali.
Gary (6 Armor)
- Passive: Whenever you play a Gold Pawn, you and Qiu will receive a 3-in-1 reward.
- Can only be selected when your partner selects the mound
Nameless (12 Armor)
- Passive: PvP Begins: Copy your teammates' hero abilities.
Slimey Flopp (15 armor)
- [0 Golds] Choose an allied subordinate to start the battle: Transform it into the highest level subordinate in your team's Inn.
Lady Gou Ya (8 Armor)
- [2 Gold] Pass a non-gold henchman
- Developer's Note: This hero ability can be assigned to a player in the squad or in the hotel.
These heroes will appear in every Hero Battleground doubles match for 2 weeks after the update goes live.
Alternate Hero Library update
- Removed Fishholmes from the Hero Battlegrounds Doubles Alternate Hero Pool.
- Dev Note: His hero abilities can be frustrating in the party system.
- Illidan Fury is banned in any Heroic Battlegrounds match with a dragon.
- King Dainathus and the 'Orchestra Manager' elite Minotaur have been temporarily removed from the Hero Battlegrounds Hero Pool Alternate Heroes.
- Professor Ptrihid has been temporarily removed from the Hero Battleground Doubles Hero Pool Alternate Pool.

- Passive: At the start of the game, find a Innkeeper level 7 and acquire it after you spend 65 gold.
- The Silver Boaster has been removed from the discovery options. Additionally, Papa Bear now summons three 4/4 Mama Bears that give +4+4 (Mama Bear itself is not in the reserve player's inventory).
Malygos

Captain Hooktooth

Master Magician Akazanzarak
- [0 Coins] Choose a secret. Put it on the battlefield.
- Dev Note: Instead of discovering secrets from the secret alternate library, there are now 4 secret options: Cobra Trap, Herd Tactics, Auto-Defense Matrix, and Redemption. The random secrets that the Street Magician (Akazanzarak's companion) gets will also come from these four secrets. The Ice Barrier has been removed from the Hero Battlegrounds.
Brian the Dinosaur Tamer
- Passive: Buy 4 Warcry minions to earn Brian Copperbeard. (Limited to one game per round).
New Hero Battlegrounds Reward Tracks and Season Passes
The Season Pass for Season 7's Hero Battlefield Trajectory features 40 levels of storybook rewards, including the Endless Fables attack modifier, 18 additional hero skins, a new bartender, and more!
Hearthstone balance update
The referee's grip

- Dev Note: Since the last balance update, Demon Hunter has been significantly stronger and more likely to appear in power than other classes, dominating all tier rankings. Limiting Demon Hunter's ability to acquire powerful demons should allow Demon Hunter to be more balanced in the rest of the game environment. In response to the Demon Hunter's power, we accelerated the balance update in the 29.2 update file, but with our usual update, the Quick Fix Balance is still in place, allowing us to make more changes in the coming weeks, especially after the game environment is no longer dominated by a single class mechanic.
New Arena Seasons
All ongoing Arena Challenges will end on April 17, and a new Arena Season will begin. Like the current Season, next Season will include cards from the Hearthstone expansions, and each class will have its own library of alternate cards. Planned alternate libraries will be adjusted during seasonal updates. Every time you pick a card in the Arena, the first pick will still be a legendary card, and that will be the only legendary card you'll get for that pick.
Warp mode updated
Warp Mode will return in June. We're working on a massive new Warp Season with several unique decks and new hero abilities, but it's going to take a little time. We're looking forward to sharing more upcoming Warp Mode Seasons with you in the coming weeks ahead of next Season.
In-game event: Double the hassle
Celebrate the launch of Heroic Battlegrounds Doubles with a special Split-Track in-game event! Between April 24th and May 7th, you can choose one of two reward tracks to earn Event XP. The first reward track focuses on traditional Hearthstone, with 4 Crafts of Wizbang card packs, 2 Standard Rules packs, and a Paladin Iriel Hero Outfit given upon completion. The other track focuses on Hero Battlefield Doubles, offering 1 Waizbang Workshop Catch-up Pack, 1 Standard Rules Card Pack, and a Golem Curator Hero Battlefield Hero Outfit given upon completion.
The Hero's Inn Smash Bros. returns to the battlefield
It's back! Hero's Inn Smash Bros. returns to the battlefield during the week of May 2 to May 8. Complete vicious, high-stakes Standard Rules rounds with honor and great rewards! Pay an entry fee and play against other players until you have 12 wins or 3 defeats.
New look type: Diamond Hero look
Introducing the new Diamond Hero Look, which includes a 3D avatar and animation, new voice lines, and unique visual effects. Nazzuel is our first Diamond Hero Look, which is a shamanic class and will be available on April 17th.
Just like the leaderboards, these Diamond Hero Outfits are second only to Legendary Hero Outfits. In addition, we also plan to make the Legendary Hero look really legendary, just like Cthun.
