Fugui bamboo buy back is generally not rooted, after going home to Mr. roots, in order to continue to grow, many flower friends found that after the rich bamboo bought home, before it had time to take root, began a large number of yellow leaves, what is the reason?
I tell you that Fugui bamboo has no root system, no ability to absorb nutrients and water, and the leaves are constantly growing, quickly depleting the nutrients of the plant, and a large number of yellow leaves will appear. So how to make Fugui bamboo take root quickly and reduce yellow leaves? It's very simple, remember "1 repair, 1 less, 1 diligent", grow roots fiercely, and not yellow leaves.
1. Repair
Newly bought Fugui bamboo, don't be in a hurry to put it in the hydroponic bottle, first prune, how to prune? Here is divided into two steps, one is to prune the root system, the other is to prune the leaves.
Whether you buy it at the flower market or buy it online, the root system is basically in a state of dehydration, which is relatively dry to the touch, and it is not easy to take root, and its branches are too long, which increases the difficulty of water and nutrient transportation, so we first prune off part of the bottom of the branch, and generally I prune about 8 cm.
After pruning the root system, the leaves should also be pruned off, which can reduce the consumption of nutrients and reduce the burden on the plant. Let's compare the Fugui bamboo with the hydroponic bottle, and all the leaves below the bottle mouth should be pruned off, and this part of the leaves is the most likely to turn yellow.

After pruning, the rich bamboo can be directly inserted into the hydroponic bottle and added water for maintenance. It can be said that the amount of water is the key to the growth of Fugui bamboo.
The height of the water in the hydroponic bottle is best between 1/4-1/3 of the bottle, not more than 1/3, one is too much water to inhibit the respiration of the branches; the other is that more water will stimulate the plant to produce more roots, compete for the nutrients of the leaves, and it is easier to cause yellow leaves.
III. Diligence
Diligence here refers to frequent water changes. Before the roots of Fugui bamboo grow, it is best to change the water in the hydroponic bottle every day. Because it is easier to grow roots only in clean water, in addition, before the root system is born, the resistance of the bamboo is poor, and the water quality is not clean, which can easily lead to bacterial infection and increase the probability of decay.
If you use tap water for maintenance, you should take the tap water out in advance, dry it in the sun for 2-3 days, and then use it for Fugui bamboo, which can also avoid the residual chlorine in the tap water to inhibit rooting.
When the rich bamboo takes root, don't change the water so frequently, as long as the water does not deteriorate, that is, it does not turn black, you only need to add water.
According to this method, it can take root in about 2 weeks in summer and 1 month in winter.
