Founded in 1945, Wuxi County People's Hospital is a national tertiary general hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care and rehabilitation.
The hospital covers an area of 129 acres and has 850 beds. There are 893 employees on the job, including 734 health technicians, 18 senior high school personnel, 104 deputy senior high school employees, 249 intermediate employees, 6 master's students, 8 graduate students, and 573 bachelor's degrees.
There are 36 clinical, medical and technical departments. Six departments of respiratory, obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery, gynecology, pediatrics and anesthesiology are key clinical specialties in Chongqing, two departments of gynecology and orthopedics are medical specialties of Chongqing, and 12 departments have been established as county-level key specialties. All departments can complete the technical projects prescribed by the tertiary general hospital, and the comprehensive diagnosis and treatment level can meet the diverse health needs of the masses. Six centers have been established for stroke, trauma, chest pain, treatment of critically ill pregnant women, and emergency and first aid for critically ill children and newborns. Coordinate and promote the construction of county-level medical community, and undertake most of the county's medical treatment tasks. The hospital has 360,000 outpatient visits, 31,000 inpatient visits and more than 7,000 surgeries per year.
It has more than 300 sets of advanced medical equipment such as 80-row 160-slice CT, 64-slice spiral CT, 1.5T magnetic resonance, linear accelerator, angiography X-ray system (DSA), etc., with a total value of 270 million yuan, a 24-bed central ICU and a laminar flow purification operating room.
In recent years, with the help of cadres and talents of Bishan District People's Hospital and Chongqing Municipal People's Hospital, and under the technical guidance of the expert team of the First Affiliated Hospital of Heavy Medical Sciences and Luyu Cooperative Shandong Province, the county has achieved the solution of common and frequent diseases in the county by helping to build and strengthen key departments, strengthen personnel training, and improve the level of hospital management.
