"Our Duling Village has sufficient sunlight and loose soil, which is particularly suitable for planting small astragalus, the growth cycle of small astragalus is 3 years, the first two years of harvesting small astragalus seeds, the yield per mu is about 60 catties, the market price is about 110 yuan, the third year of harvesting small astragalus seedlings, the yield per mu is about 500 catties, the market price is about 5 yuan, and the average income per mu is about 5,200 yuan," said Wang Hongfei, a cadre in Duling Village. Duling Village is located in the western mountainous area of Gaolou Town, and the masses mainly plant wheat and potatoes, which are relatively simple. The town and village cadres fully understood the planting willingness of the masses through visiting households, combined with the actual situation of the village's left-behind women and the elderly, and paid close attention to the climatic conditions and industrial base, and decided to develop the cultivation of astragalus membranaceus in Duling Village.
