"My current broad bean planting area is more than 400 acres, and I am currently picking them, and it is expected that it will take about a week to finish picking. Wu Wei, head of Lezhi Yunshan Agricultural Co., Ltd., told reporters that after the broad beans are picked, corn will be planted in the field, and the remaining broad bean roots can "fertilize" the land, achieving a win-win situation of ecological and economic benefits.
In 2023, Wu Wei took a fancy to the superior geographical location and planting conditions of Linjiang Community in Foxing Town, and transferred land to develop broad bean planting. Due to the large scale of planting and the long picking period, it also provides local residents with the opportunity to work at their doorstep, so that they can achieve both nearby employment and family care.
"I am a resident of Linjiang Community, and I transferred the land in my home to Boss Wu last year. During this time, we worked here again to earn some pocket money. Deng Guomin, a resident of Linjiang community, told reporters that there has been a large demand for labor recently, and more than 90 local residents work at the base every day.

Although this year is the first harvest of broad beans in the base, due to the excellent varieties and careful management in the early stage, the broad beans are full of particles, fresh and green in color, soft and glutinous in taste, and are favored by consumers as soon as they are listed, and are exported to Shanghai, Jiangsu and other places, which also makes Wu Wei full of confidence in the next development.
"In the second half of this year, we plan to develop the model of 'company + base + farmer', provide seeds, technology and services to farmers, drive everyone to plant broad beans together, and then we will recycle and sell them in a unified manner. Wu Wei told reporters that this model can not only expand the planting area, but also solve the sales concerns of farmers, and can drive the surrounding farmers to increase their income and get rich.
