Rodan tsamba

We may only know about tsamba, so where is the rodan tsampa sacred?

Known as "plateau chocolate", Rodan tsampa is a traditional delicacy originating from the Shigatse region of Tibet.

Selected barley noodles are mixed with water, stirred by hand, and slowly baked on a special pan.

The roasting process requires constant turning to ensure that each side is evenly heated, resulting in a golden color and crispy texture.

The baked tsamba is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a faint barley fragrance~

It can be eaten with handmade yogurt or Tibetan milk tea, and the taste is unique and evocative.

Gamba sheep

If you come to Shigatse, don't miss out on the local beef and mutton, especially the Gangba mutton, which will definitely surprise your taste buds. Many people are afraid of the smell of mutton, but the mutton in Gamba County is completely different, and the mutton here does not have any smell at all. If enjoyed with barley wine, the aroma of barley wine can neutralize the richness of the lamb and bring a perfect balance of taste.

What's even more rare is that the texture of Gamba lamb is delicate and delicious, and people will fall in love with it when you try it!

Fern nettle pig

It turns out that the dish was named bracken nettle pig because the pigs mainly fed on bracken nettle, a wild plant that makes pork more tender and tasty.

As for the cooking method, the bracken nettle pig does have a striking resemblance to the chicken called flower, especially in its unique cooking technique, which is fire. To make it, the pig is wrapped in mud and then roasted in a slow flame. This cooking method not only penetrates deep into the meat and locks in the juices, but also allows the mud shell to form a hard shell under the action of high temperature, making the pork crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, bringing out the unique flavor of the nettle.

What's even more rare is that the local chefs also add a special sauce to make the aroma of the roasted bracken nettle pig mouth-watering. People can't help but say bluntly after tasting that the delicacy of this roasted bracken nettle pig definitely surpasses the conventional roast pig, with thin skin and tender meat, fragrant but not greasy, and endless aftertaste.
