Tao Yuhe

Zengke Temple is located in Wuyi Township, Yangtang County, covers an area of 2.5 square kilometers, and there are more than 15,000 Bodhisattvas such as Buddha and Guanyin in the temple. Some of the bodhisattvas are as high as several meters, and some are as small as a few inches, which can be called a must in sculpture art. The Mirata Tower is a majestic tower with a unique structure, and is surrounded by 1,108 colored pagodas of different heights, sizes and shapes, reflecting each other and making it spectacular.
Walking 25 kilometers southeast from the county seat of Yangtang County, there is a place called "Go Na Ranka", which is the holy place of the Buddha-figures such as Matou Vajra and Vajra Haimu. Many of the most prestigious masters in history, such as the 10th Karma Mama and Peruzana Rinpoche, have practiced here.
There is a sacred mountain of the "Joyful Heavenly Mother", which was visited by the 10th Karmapa His Holiness when he came to Kham, and the auspicious Heavenly Mother accompanied him to the Amdo region as his attendant and finally stayed in this place. It is known as the land of the auspicious Heavenly Mother. His Holiness the Karmapa gave lectures and trained many famous scholars and lamas there.
Yangtang Zengke Monastery is located behind this mountain, in Wuyi Township, Wuyi Village, next to the provincial highway on the banks of the Duke River. Zengke Temple is also known as "Semukar", (meaning Gongzi Palace) is also known as "watchhouse", its building structure belongs to the stone and wood structure, with an area of 2,500 square meters.
It was founded in 1954 by His Holiness Nisang. It belongs to the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism. The name of the temple originates from the name of "Zengke Monastery" built by the founder of the Kagyu school, Marba Milarepa, in Tibet, and there is only one lama who has built the temple so far.
The foundation of Zengke Temple is the Chinese character "day", here is centered on three towers up to nine floors and more than 50 meters of Miller Tower, each other floor has a door, each floor has an upward staircase, surrounded by 5 inches thick stone slabs side by side, there are 4 wind chimes in the building, each floor has a Buddha hall, the most exciting thing is that the ninth layer of the pagoda is suspended outside the air to turn around.
Outside the wall of the ninth-floor stupa, there is a row of stone slabs protruding from the wall on each side, about 20 centimeters in length, and exactly one foot board is placed on it. The explorers came out of the pagoda gate, holding the body of the pagoda, stepping on this row of suspended stone slabs to move their feet, and circled around the pagoda. Just in case, the monk pulled a steel rope around the stupa as a handrail. There are 1,108 stupas of all sizes, large and small, and it is hard to believe that you are still in the world, and a mysterious and treacherous atmosphere makes people both excited and a little frightened.
Tsengk Monastery was originally just a small temple built on top of a hill. Later, Wu Jian Lingpa and other masters built many stupas and piled up for sentient beings, but they were all swallowed up by the impermanence of time.
However, Wu Jian Lingpa's prophecy in his teachings that there would be a saint who would preach the Dharma here in the future and turn the wheel of Dharma three times came true, and this saint was Lama Zengk. Commissioned by the 16th Karmapa, Lama Zengk Jigme Osai began the construction of the nine-story Mil Pagoda in 1950 at the "Thana Rangka". For this reason, the place is known as Zengke Monastery.
Later, Lama Tsengk built a Kagyu retreat center for the "Six Dharmas of the Najna", and many practitioners came to inquire about it, and Lama Tsengk gave them empowerments and teachings, and many accomplished practitioners emerged among them. Gradually, the temple became more and more prosperous. Zengke Lama personally carried stones, repaired scriptures, built pagodas, and piles of man.
But during the Cultural Revolution, the stupa and the scripture hall were destroyed. After the implementation of the religious policy, despite his advanced age, Lama Zengk set out to rebuild the stupa and scripture hall, restore and repair the retreat center, and build many monks' houses, expanding the scale of the entire temple. Lama Zengk hopes that to promote Buddhism, we must love the religion and the country, and without the state, we cannot repair the stupas and scripture halls, so many monks come here to practice. Qu Xiu Xi Rinpoche, Ratse Long Khenpo, Lagozu Kwa Khenpo, Sereba Khenpo Yixi and other eminent monks and scholars came to the place to preach the flow of the Dharma.
The nine-storey Maitreya Stupa of Yangtang Zengke Temple can be described as a Buddha statue exhibition hall, which displays various Buddha statues, including murals, thangka paintings, clay statues, and metal statues. In 1983, with the approval of the people's government, the temple has been repaired and expanded. Today's Zengke Temple has become a tourist scenery in Yangtang.
The buildings of Zengke Temple are all built along the mountain, stretching upward, except for the more magnificent buildings on the roadside, most of the rest are some low bungalows, the appearance is covered with red paint, giving people a heavy feeling.
There are not many people in Zengke Monastery, and it is rare to meet outsiders, most of them are local villagers and monks, and monks will walk on the side of the road or near when they are resting, and they can be seen everywhere.
The religion and life of the Tibetan people are completely one, the temple and the people's daily living space are completely together, that kind of harmony and piety, we can't imagine, and the awe arises spontaneously!
A temple that is hardly visited by tourists, and because of this, it seems more pure and primitive.
