In recent years, with the rise of social media, the argument that "employee benefits in power companies are too high" has also been widely circulated. But from a practical point of view, things may not be so obvious. The basic salary level of power enterprises is not high, and the main source of income is still various bonuses.
Although companies often refer to "reducing the basic salary", in fact, it is only the wage standard that is adjusted, not the impact on the actual income of employees. Moreover, the reason why state-owned enterprises lose money has little to do with employee salary expenditure. On the contrary, the main reason is the high cost of operation and other costs.
A deeper understanding will lead to an understanding that the real reason for the losses of China's power companies is systemic. First, the cost of coal-fired power has been rising for a long time, while the price of electricity has remained unchanged for 15 years. In the face of systemic problems, blaming them on one point will not solve the root cause. This has also led us to think deeply about the power system. On the one hand, should the electricity price mechanism respond to market changes on time? on the other hand, should enterprise transformation and reform be implemented to optimize business structure and reduce operating costs? At the same time, the government should share the cost pressure with enterprises through subsidies or other means.
