For the second season in a row, the NBA has set records for regular season attendance, attendance average, attendance and sell-out rates.

The 2023-24 regular season saw a total of 22,536,341 spectators, surpassing the previous season's previous record of 22,234,502. Other records include 872 games sold out (the previous record was 791 in 2022-23), 71% of games sold out (the original record was 63% in 2022-23), and the average attendance was 18,322 (the previous record was 18,077 in 2022-23). In addition, NBA arena attendance reached an all-time high of 98%.

A total of 10 teams have sold out of tickets for all home games this season: the Celtics, Cavaliers, Mavericks, Nuggets, Warriors, Heat, Timberwolves, 76ers, Suns and Kings. The introduction of mid-season games has greatly boosted the enthusiasm of fans, and the NBA's average number of live spectators in November was 18,208, a record for that month in history.
