At the audition site, the atmosphere was tense and enthusiastic, and the World Heritage teenagers showed their own housekeeping skills to show their stories with the World Heritage Quanzhou, which won bursts of applause. "World Heritage Youths" is both "inheritance" and "transmission", inheriting the rich historical and cultural heritage of Quanzhou, a World Heritage Site, and conveying the deep emotions of the World Heritage teenagers.
"The throat is choking, the throat is choking, the thorn tree is full of excitement in the streets and alleys......" A southern Fujian nursery rhyme "The Ancient City of Quanzhou is Red" ignited the audience. Contestant Lu Yuhan said, "I like Hokkien dialect, so I performed Hokkien nursery rhymes. Her parents said that Hokkien carries a heavy Hokkien culture, and she has taught her children to learn Hokkien since she was a child, and she also speaks Hokkien at home.
"I have been to many world heritage sites such as Kaiyuan Temple and Dejimen Ruins, and finally chose to recite "Partridge Heaven - Nanwai Sect Shoji" as the program for the audition performance. Contestant Wu Yehan cherished the world heritage culture of Quanzhou, and she said that next time she would like her mother to take her to experience the hairpin flower wai and learn more about the world heritage culture of Quanzhou.
In order to better inherit the culture of southern Fujian and focus on the city card of the "World Heritage City", during the 2024 Quanzhou "World Heritage Youth Speaking" language art exhibition, the "Licheng Culture" column will also be opened at the same time, providing more windows for everyone to understand, care for and appreciate the charm of Licheng.
