On April 12, the Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Fukuoka attended the Fukuoka press conference of the film version of "Meet the Yangtze River Again" jointly organized by the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Fukuoka and the Kyushu Federation of Overseas Chinese.
Fumito Watanabe, Director of the International Bureau of the Fukuoka Prefecture Planning and Regional Promotion Department, Shinichi Moriyama, President of the Fukuoka Prefecture Japan-China Friendship Association, Shinya Hiratsuka, Executive Director of the Fukuoka Trade Association, Osa Zhuoma, President of the Kyushu Overseas Chinese Association, Huang Meixiong, President of the Oita Overseas Chinese Association, Lu Cunwei, Principal of Xi Yue Chinese School, Ryo Takeuchi, director of the film, and Cheng Yan, Deputy Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Fukuoka, attended the press conference. Nearly 300 people, including major friendship groups in the consular district, representatives of overseas Chinese and literary circles, teachers and students of Chinese schools, and representatives of Japanese youth, watched the film and exchanged views on the spot. The press conference first played the movie version of "Meet the Yangtze River Again". The film shows the magnificent scenery of the Yangtze River from a unique perspective and superb shooting, reflecting the changes in the economy, society and people's lives along the Yangtze River in the past ten years. After the film screening, director Ryo Takeuchi appeared at the scene and won bursts of applause from the audience. Ryo Takeuchi shared with you the mental journey of walking the Yangtze River Road after ten years, hoping to convey a real and objective China to the Japanese people through the film. Consul General Yang Qingdong and Director Watanabe took the stage to interact with Ryo Takeuchi.
Consul General Yang Qingdong spoke highly of Ryo Takeuchi's contribution to the friendly cultural exchanges between China and Japan, and said that the idea of photographing the first drop of water at the source of the Yangtze River was ingenious, and it allowed us to see the tremendous energy of the Chinese people. I hope that the Japanese people will learn more about China through this film, understand China, go to China more often, and feel the pulse of China's development in the new era. Watanabe said that the customs of ethnic minorities in the film are impressive, and he looks forward to the opportunity to go to China again and communicate with the local people.
