In order to improve the organization and management level of school food safety drills, strengthen the safety awareness of teachers and students and the ability to deal with food safety accidents, and help teachers and students familiarize themselves with emergency evacuation routes, the headquarters campus of Chengnan Experimental Primary School in Hai'an City, Jiangsu Province held a food safety drill and fire emergency evacuation drill on April 11.
01 Food safety drills
Before the drill, the school organized and set up a food safety emergency drill headquarters to be fully responsible for the food safety drill, and the organization and coordination group quickly formulated the drill plan, and held a meeting of all working group members in the ladder classroom to conduct knowledge training for the canteen staff and teachers before the drill. Lead the participating class teachers to familiarize themselves with the emergency drill process and drill venue.
Immediately afterwards, the class teacher organized a class meeting, led the students to watch food safety education videos, learn food safety related knowledge, and conducted drill-related training.
At 2:45 p.m. on April 11, the fourth-grade students gathered on the first floor of the cafeteria. At the same time as the alarm sounded on the radio, the on-site commander issued an instruction: "Now that a food poisoning incident is found on the first floor of the restaurant, please immediately activate the food safety emergency treatment." The food safety drill officially began.
The teacher of the drill class immediately issued an order: "Everyone should stop eating immediately, and students with abdominal discomfort should immediately raise their hands", and quickly gathered the students with food poisoning to the relevant area in time.
The school doctor immediately questioned the student and dealt with it briefly. At the same time, call the 120 emergency number, report to the principal's office, organize a vehicle, and send the two students to the ambulance.
The logistics support team seals and disposes of the ingredients and sample refrigerators for the students' meals, affixes seals, and waits for the food safety testing agency to come for inspection.
After everything is handled properly, the head teacher will count and report on the participants. The on-site commander made a brief summary and announced the end of the food safety drill.
02 Fire emergency evacuation drill
Before the start of the fire emergency evacuation drill, Director Chen of the Logistics Department gave a detailed introduction to the teachers and students why the evacuation drill was carried out, so that all the participating teachers and students had a clear understanding of the importance of today's drill. With the order of the commander-in-chief, each squad quickly prepared. Under the guidance of the principal and deputy class teachers, the students immediately covered their mouths and noses with wet towels, quickly and orderly left their seats and assembled in the aisle, lined up in two teams to bow their heads and run to the specified safety exit, and evacuated along the prescribed evacuation route.
Each safety guide reminds everyone to control the speed and pay attention to safety from time to time. When the students arrived, they quickly lined up and squatted down at their designated locations. The head teacher quickly counted the number of people and reported to the Commander-in-Chief. After counting and counting, all teachers and students arrived safely.
This food safety emergency drill and fire emergency evacuation drill not only strengthened students' awareness of food safety and fire safety, but also improved the ability of faculty and staff to respond to safety emergencies, and promoted the construction of a safe and harmonious campus.
