On April 14, Beijing time, University of Oklahoma point guard Milos Uzan announced his transfer to the NCAA University of Houston, and the Cougars found their next starting point guard to replace senior point guard Jamal Shead.

Youzan, from Las Vegas, Nevada, is 6-4 (1.93m) tall and is the only University of Oklahoma player to start 32 games in the 2023-24 season, averaging 9 points, 4.4 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 31.7 minutes per game in his sophomore season.

Youzan, who shot 39.2 percent from the field and 29.2 percent from three-point range in his sophomore season, down sharply from 47.0 percent and 40.7 percent in his freshman season, will be a key figure for this championship-hungry team if the University of Houston can help him regain his shooting touch.

University of Houston's 68-year-old coach Kelvin Sampson has produced three All-American players over the past four years, Quentin Grimes in 2021, Marcus Susher in 2023 and Jamal Shedd in 2024.
The University of Houston is expected to return four starters, including guards Emanuel Sharp and L.J. Sharp. Cryer, forward J'Wan Roberts, interior Ja'Vier Francis, plus transfer student Yuzan, the Pumas are aiming for the championship.
