The seedling fields in Cangtai Village are mainly terraced fields, which are mainly distributed around the village. Overlooking from the sky, the fields are curved and stretched, the height is staggered, the layers are distinct, and the terraced fields and the ancient villages, mountains, and working villagers constitute a beautiful agricultural picture.
Due to the small plot and large undulating terrain, the terraced fields in Cangtai Village are not convenient for large-scale agricultural machinery operations, so the villagers have always retained the traditional planting mode.
In order not to miss the farming time, some villagers use traditional oxen to harrow the fields, and some use small agricultural machinery to turn over the fields and prepare the land, and then insert the raised seedlings into the rice fields in rows. In a short time, rows of green seedlings lined up in the field, blowing in the breeze, gently swaying, rippling with infinite vitality.
Cangtai Village has fertile land and sufficient water, which is suitable for rice cultivation. In recent years, Cangtai Village has vigorously strengthened the promotion of agricultural science and technology around the new ideas of stabilizing grain and adjusting the structure, and explored and promoted the ecological planting and breeding model of "rice, fish and duck symbiosis" on the basis of not changing rice planting habits, which has ensured the green and pollution-free production of rice production while increasing the income of farmers, and greatly improved the space of "storing grain on the ground" and "storing grain in technology", effectively promoting agricultural efficiency and farmers' income.
"Cangtai Village is expected to plant more than 1,200 acres of rice this year, including more than 800 acres of rice, fish and duck co-cultivation area, has initially formed a scale, rice, fish and duck co-breeding model can increase the income of farmers per mu by 800 yuan, the next step we will introduce live broadcast with goods to open up the sales of agricultural and sideline products, improve the income of the masses." Li Fagui, secretary of the general party branch and director of the village committee of Cangtai Village, said.
It is understood that this year, Guanting Town plans to plant 9,000 acres of rice, and the output is expected to reach 5,800 tons. At present, the town is seizing the agricultural time, speeding up the transplanting progress as planned, and striving to complete the transplanting work by the end of May.
