On April 9, 2024, at the prestigious Fuyao University of Science and Technology, a unique dialogue began. Fan Guangling and Cao Dewang, two world-class figures in different fields, joined hands to discuss strategies to strengthen aesthetic education and jointly build the foundation of a harmonious society. The two called in unison to use aesthetic education and culture as a bridge to promote the integration of human emotions and thoughts, and contribute to world peace.
As one of the world's top 12 painters and an advocate of modern aesthetic education, Academician Fan Guangling has always believed that the power of art can penetrate cultural barriers and awaken the resonance of the soul. In his dream, he also wanted to catalyze the seeds of harmony and peace in the global community through the medium of art.
In 2021, Cao Dewang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fuyao Group, initiated and founded by the Heren Charity Foundation, invested 10 billion yuan to build Fuyao University of Science and Technology, a non-profit public university of science and engineering. After the completion of the university, it will be donated to the state free of charge. It is the second public university donated by entrepreneurs after Chen Jiageng, an overseas Chinese in Fujian Province, donated to build Xiamen University.
Fan Guangling believes that education is not only about the improvement of the individual's soul, but also a cultural dialogue and spiritual baptism. It can broaden people's horizons, deepen understanding and respect for multiculturalism, thereby effectively reducing social conflicts and enhancing interpersonal communication and harmony.
At the end of the dialogue, Fan Guangling and Cao Dewang, Fang Dehua, president of Macao, Hong Kong and Taiwan Pictorial, and Zhu Wang Biyu, the princess of Taiwan's Ami ethnic group, left a meaningful group photo.
Fan Guangling is the chairman of the World Cultural Assembly and the chairman of the World Peace Conference. Fan Zhongyan's 28th generation grandson, Ph.D., professor, academician, engineer, world poet, world calligrapher and painter, received a master's degree in management from Stonehouer University and New York University, a doctorate in philosophy from Utah State University, and a postdoctoral fellow at Columbia University and Harvard University, specializing in computers and management social systems. The world pioneered a great new concept of "computer" in Chinese, launched the New Ancient Poetry Movement, and published more than 20 poetry collections in Chinese and English.
He also created poetic oil paintings and pioneered poetic management. He is currently the chairman of the Chinese Business Administration Association and the chairman of the International Culture Promotion Association of the Cultural Federation. He has the world reputation of "the father of computers" and "the world's top 12 painters". In 1988, he was the first person to break the ice on both sides of the strait, and the world's first Chinese and English compilation of the "Four Books and Five Classics", including Confucius's "101 characters of filial piety" and Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching. It has made an important contribution to world peace and culture. The efforts of more people who love world peace and human freedom and equality will make a moving contribution to a peaceful and prosperous world.
