On April 12, Chery Group's iCAR brand held the 2024 Brand Night in Beijing, and the iCAR V23 was unveiled simultaneously. At the same time, the iCAR brand also teased the X25, the first model of the X series.
At the press conference, Chery Automobile announced that it had reached a strategic cooperation with CATL, and the two parties will further strengthen cooperation in technology and capital to jointly promote the growth of the iCAR brand.
The iCAR V23 is positioned as a "style off-road electric urban SUV". The off-road style square box shape, four-wheel four-corner design, ultra-short front and rear overhangs and large wheelbase make room for the car, comfortable seats and "high-profile" vision to upgrade the driving experience.
In terms of intelligence, V23 benefits from L2+ level intelligent driving and the application of 8155 mainstream chip car machine, users can easily grasp the road conditions.
At the event, iCAR previewed the X25, the first model of the X series, which is positioned as a medium and large off-road style MPV, and the body integrates classic off-road elements with a single-box design. Relying on the technical advantages of the new energy platform, the X25 has better handling and stability, and the fully flat floor design can achieve a transparent interior space and flexible seat combination.
The 0, V and X series of the iCAR brand, the 0 series focuses on exquisite technology and pursues the equality of science and technology, the V series is characterized by off-road style, emphasizing differentiation, high appearance and ultra-practicality, and the X series is committed to becoming a "new species of single box".
In the future, Chery will rely on the "Yaoguang 2025" technology system to develop new technologies in five core technology areas. At present, iCAR 03 has completed the first OTA upgrade, high-speed NOA, cross-layer memory parking and other functions are now "on the car", using a pure visual route, in addition, iCAR can also be upgraded through software upgrades and front and rear axle decoupling and other technical means, for electric four-wheel drive continuous iterative upgrade.
In the field of safety, the iCAR body adopts a multi-cavity, cage-type, steel-aluminum hybrid structure, with a B-pillar strength of up to 1800Mpa, combined with a wrap-around force transmission structure, to deal with various collisions in an all-round way.
In terms of battery safety, Chery has accumulated more than 30 test items in the battery system safety standards, and the battery cells of large manufacturers adopt a sandwich structure, with strong impact resistance energy at the bottom, combined with the early warning system of the big data platform, to identify risks in advance and ensure battery safety.
