From May 16th to 17th, the 7th Plenary Meeting of the Wireless Technology Group of the IMT-2030 (6G) Promotion Group was held in Songjiang. The plenary meeting included 12 task group meetings, including wireless artificial intelligence, synaesthesia integration, wireless system design, and intelligent metasurface.
At the meeting, about 200 experts from 67 participating units, including China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Tsinghua University, China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom, gathered together to discuss 6G technology.
According to experts, it is expected that 6G will have commercial capabilities in 2030, and 6G will achieve immersive service experience, and will further promote the combination of communication and perception, communication and artificial intelligence, and create ubiquitous IoT.
It is worth mentioning that based on the development foundation of Songjiang in the information industry such as communications, satellite Internet, and intelligent computing power, the convening of this plenary meeting will further promote Songjiang's related enterprises to participate in 6G technology research and development, and jointly build a 6G industry-university-research platform.
