Steel for plastic molds covers a wide range of steels, from ordinary steels to special steels. 2. Corrosion-resistant steel
Molds are susceptible to rust and corrosion during long-term operation and maintenance, and are more susceptible to corrosion as various components are added to plastic molding. Therefore, it is required to improve the corrosion resistance of the base metal body, and some corrosion-resistant stainless steel materials have been developed.
3. Martensitic aging alloy steel
This kind of steel has sufficient mechanical properties and outstanding process properties, especially has high strength, toughness, wear resistance, low thermal expansion coefficient, is a good steel for manufacturing injection molds, but the price is expensive.
4. Cemented carbide
It is mainly used for molds with high production life requirements and large batches of parts.
