Recently, the Ministry of Emergency Management held a video conference on the in-depth implementation of the natural disaster emergency response capacity improvement project and the promotion of the preparation and promotion of the special plan for the comprehensive improvement of emergency response capacity. The meeting thoroughly implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on production safety and disaster prevention, mitigation and relief, reported the progress made in the implementation of the current natural disaster emergency response capacity improvement project, exchanged experience, analyzed the situation, clarified the tasks, and comprehensively deployed and started the preparation of special plans for the comprehensive improvement of emergency response capabilities.
The meeting reported the progress of the first quarter of the project to improve the emergency response capacity of four types of natural disasters: early warning command, aviation emergency, grassroots disaster prevention and engineering rescue, and Anhui and Sichuan provinces made speeches on the exchange of experience in project implementation. The meeting stressed that emergency management departments at all levels should unify their thinking, clearly understand the situation, effectively enhance the sense of responsibility, mission and urgency of capacity building, and do a good job in the work. It is necessary to have the courage to take responsibility and take the initiative, consolidate work responsibilities, speed up the preliminary work, strengthen professional strength, and make every effort to promote the in-depth and orderly implementation of the project.
The meeting required that we should start early, plan ahead, find out the bottom number of needs from the bottom up, do a good job in top-level design, and prepare special plans for comprehensive improvement of emergency response capabilities with high standards and high quality.
The responsible comrades of the relevant departments and bureaus of the National Development and Reform Commission, the relevant departments and bureaus of the ministries and organs and China Aneng Group Co., Ltd. attended the meeting at the main venue, and the responsible comrades of the emergency management departments (bureaus) of 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government), the Emergency Management Bureau of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and the engineering bureaus under China Aneng Group Co., Ltd. attended the meeting at the branch venues.
