1. You can use CTRL+TAB to cycle into the file you opened in SOLIDWORKS
2. Use the arrow keys to rotate the model. Press the CTRL key plus the arrow keys to move the model. Press the ALT key plus the arrow keys to rotate the model in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction.
3. Use the "Z" key to zoom out of the model or SHIFT+Z to zoom in.
4. You can press the "F" key at any time to scale the surface to the most appropriate size.
SOLIDWORKS is quick to use
1. You can print an area selected within the drawing, and specify a scale factor for the printed area.
2. You can hold down the CTRL key and drag a reference plane to quickly copy an equidistant plane, and then double-click the mouse on the plane to specify the distance dimension precisely.
3. If the default unit is inches, you can enter the value of the metric unit in the numeric box, for example: 25mm, and SOLIDWORKS will automatically convert the value to the default unit.
4. The "Read Only" option can be selected when the part is open to prevent writing operations to the part.
5. If the display of the hidden line view mode is not accurate enough, you can use Tools/Options/File Properties/Image Quality/Shelf Diagram Quality to adjust the display quality.
6. Using the menu File on / Find Related Part File / Copy, you can copy all the reference files on the assembly to a new directory.
7. The sketch can be examined to determine if it can be used to generate a specified feature type. When you are editing a sketch, select Tools/Sketch Tools on the menu to check the sketch for feature usage.
8. You can change the rotation increment when you rotate the model with the arrow keys, please select Tools/Options/System Options/Rotation on the menu, and then change the value in the arrow key selection box.
9. In drawings, you can control the line type, color, and thickness of model edges, sketch entities, and templates independently.
10. An indented bill of materials (BOM) can be generated. Each sub-assembly is listed as a project, with its components below it, and is indented without putting in the item number.
11. If a feature or reconstruction fails, you can right-click on the icon in the FeatureManager design tree and select the "What's Wrong" command to view.
