On April 12, a netizen posted a video saying that a giant panda corpse was found in Baoxing County, Sichuan. The netizen said that they found the dead panda when they passed by on a motorcycle on the morning of the 11th, and then reported the situation to local villagers. Zheng Congjun, head of the wildlife protection unit of the Baoxing County Forestry Bureau, told reporters that personnel had arrived at the scene to deal with it, and no external injuries were found on the panda's body. As for whether the panda was sick before drowning, an autopsy is still needed.
