On April 9, the main framework of the farmers' trade market in the service station of the miscanthus nitrate plant in the northern desert photovoltaic base in Midong District was basically completed, and the merchant stalls, awnings, and heating pipes have been installed in place, and the on-site workers are setting up cold storage supporting the market.
According to reports, the farmers' market covers an area of about 500 square meters, with fruits and vegetables and non-staple foods, rice, flour, grain and oil, eggs, poultry, meat and milk, and all of them are sold at a low price. Considering the large temperature difference between day and night in the hinterland of the desert, the market has specially built a medium temperature warehouse and a low temperature warehouse to ensure that the product supply is sufficient and fresh.
"We have connected with local cooperatives and farmers in Midong District to ensure all the supply of the farmers' market. This can not only broaden the sales channels of local agricultural and sideline products in Midong, but also shorten the purchase distance of daily materials required by the photovoltaic base. Niu Changfu, the person in charge of the farmers' market, said that according to the advance calculation, the market can basically meet the demand for agricultural and sideline products in the photovoltaic base after operation.
Hashimuhan Kaokai, who runs a restaurant at the service station of the photovoltaic base, is looking forward to the early opening of the farmers' market: "Now the business is getting better and better, and the daily consumption of rice, noodles, vegetables, meat, eggs, and condiments in the store is also increasing. When the farmer's market opened, we could buy fresh ingredients at the door at any time, which was much more convenient!"
