Recently, the new ROG Strix XG259CMS monitor was launched on the official website of ASUS International, which has a significant upgrade from the current XG259CM on sale, adopts a new base design, and is equipped with a 1080P Fast IPS display with a refresh rate of up to 310Hz, which is mainly aimed at professional gamers with high picture smoothness requirements.
ROG STRIX XG259CMS features a new design language, similar to ASUS'XG27ACS recently announced ROG STRIX and ROG STRIX XG27UCS Similarly, the overall design is minimalist, taking into account practicality and high performance, equipped with an adjustable ergonomic stand to save users more desk space, and a convenient phone holder on the base, allowing gamers to keep their phones within reach and charge through the monitor's built-in Type-C port.
It's powered by a 24.5-inch Fast IPS panel with a resolution of 1080P (1920 x 1080), a 310Hz refresh rate, a 1ms response time (GtG), a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and a 100% sRGB color gamut. In addition, ROG Strix XG259CMS supports ASUS' Extreme Motion Picture Technology (ELMB), NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible, and AMD FreeSync, with Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) enabled by default and VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified.
The monitor is equipped with AI-powered GamePlus technology, which analyzes the scene on the screen in real-time and adjusts the GamePlus reticle to improve aiming accuracy. At the same time, the Dynamic Shadow Boost function increases the detail of the dark field without affecting other areas of the picture, making it easier to identify enemies. Players can use ASUS DisplayWidget Center to easily adjust OSD and display settings with the mouse.
ROG Strix XG259CMS comes with an HDMI 2.0 port (48~240Hz refresh rate only), a DP 1.4 port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port (7.5W output) to charge your phone, ROG handheld, and other devices while gaming.
