The year 2024 marks the 160th anniversary of Qi Baishi's birth, and as a giant in the history of Chinese painting, Qi Baishi has left an eternal artistic beauty with his unique ink rhyme. In honor of this great artist, a series of commemorative events are carried out throughout the country.
In order to pay tribute to this great art master, the China Ceramics Museum and the National Ceramic Copyright Trading Center released Qi Baishi's 160th anniversary ceramic art masterpiece - "White Graphite Rhyme, Porcelain Painting Double Unique".
"White Graphite Rhyme, Porcelain Painting Double Unique" is produced by the Ceramics Professional Committee of the Chinese Culture Promotion Association, supervised by the Jingdezhen Ceramic Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Association, and tested by the National Ceramic Product Quality Inspection and Testing Center one by one. As the only official ceramic masterpiece for the 160th anniversary of Qi Baishi's birth, "White Graphite Rhyme, Porcelain Painting Double Unique" for the first time will be Qi Baishi's 930 million yuan worth of "Landscape Twelve Screens" into porcelain, led by Li Wenyue, a master craftsman in the Asia-Pacific region and the pioneer of China's pastel and ink color craft.
The 12 windows respectively painted the 12 landscapes of Qi Baishi, "Cypress Forest", "Pine White House", "Afterglow on the Distant Shore", "Banqiao Lonely Sail", "Mangrove White Spring", "Spring Rain in the Mountains", "Smoke and Deep Sail Shadow", "Cedar Tower", "Apricot Blossom Cottage", "Bantang Lotus Fragrance", "River People", "Shiyan Double Shadow".
In order to cherish the memory of his master, Qi Baishi's disciple Li Shanju made an exception to take out the original chapter of Qi Baishi worth 8 million "Under the White Stone Gate", which was printed at the bottom of the work.
In addition, Li Shanju used the white graphite method to personally create Qi Baishi's famous work worth 425 million yuan, "Pine and Cypress Gaolitu Seal Book Four Words Couplet", as a gift for this theme creation activity.
In October 2023, "White Graphite Rhyme, Porcelain Painting" was invited to participate in the 2023 Jingdezhen International Porcelain Expo, and Mr. Yu Zhihua, Director of the National Ceramic Copyright Trading Center, personally interpreted it for the guests.
In March 2024, "White Graphite Rhyme: Porcelain Painting" was collected by the United Nations Support Foundation and the Carrousel Hall of the Louvre, and was selected as an exhibitor at the 2024 International Symposium on Art and Cultural Exchange in France.
On March 23, 2024, the high-level welcome dinner of His Excellency Ivo Josipović, former President of Croatia, was held in Beijing.
On April 3, 2024, the Qi Baishi Memorial Hall held a ceremony for the entry of "White Graphite Rhyme and Porcelain Painting", and "White Graphite Rhyme and Porcelain Painting" became the only contemporary ceramic art work in his collection that represents Baishi art.
