The wife was killed, and the husband was unjustly imprisoned
Yu Yingsheng's family of three lives in a house on Nanshan Road in Bengbu City. In the early morning of December 2, 1996, he sent his seven-year-old son, Xiaoyu, to school and went to work, as usual.
His wife Han Lu was still sleeping in bed at this time, and Yu Yingsheng reminded her before leaving, don't forget to get up after a while to make lunch, and when her father-in-law picks up Xiaoyu and comes home from school at noon, he will come to the house for dinner.
However, at twelve o'clock in the afternoon, Yu Yingsheng received a call from his father-in-law, whose voice trembled and told him to hurry home, saying that something had happened at home.

Under the testimony of these people, Yu Yingsheng, who had just returned home and had not had time to face the tragedy of his wife's death, was taken away by the police.
Yu Yingsheng firmly denied the accusations, saying that he sent his son Xiaoyu to school at 7 o'clock in the morning, and then went directly to work at the unit. But unfortunately, because Yu Yingsheng is a one-man office, no one in his unit can make an alibi for him at the time of the crime.
Repeated appeals and reversal of the case are far away
After being arrested for a period of time, the Bengbu City Public Security Bureau announced that the homicide case had been solved, saying that Yu Yingsheng had personally admitted that he had killed his wife Han Lu. The procuratorate published a transcript of Yu Yingsheng's confession on social media.
Yu Yingsheng said that he and his wife have recently had a number of arguments over the transportation of their son to school, including on December 2, when he turned home after dropping his son off at school and quarreled with his wife again.
The conflict gradually escalated, and in a fit of rage, Yu Yingsheng covered his wife's mouth and nose with a pillow, causing her to suffocate to death. Then he cut his wife's neck with a knife, and when he had done this, he brought in a gas canister and lit a candle in an attempt to create a fire.
However, when the court was about to make a verdict on Yingsheng, Yu Yingsheng retracted his confession in court, saying that the confession was written by him after being interrogated for seven days and seven nights.
The so-called crime process was also made up by himself.
The reason why Yu Yingsheng wants to retract his confession in court now is because the DNA identification results have come out, and the semen left in Han Lu's underwear residue does not match Yu Yingsheng's own DNA.
In other words, on the day of the incident, someone else sexually assaulted Han Lu and killed him, and this person could not be Yu Yingsheng.
Yu Yingsheng's defense lawyer also provided the appraisal report to the court. However, the prosecution's lawyer believes that Yu Yingsheng picked up a condom used by others on the street and disguised the crime scene.
In the end, the judge agreed with this statement and dismissed the defense lawyer's plea of innocence.
Yu Yingsheng was first sentenced to death, but he refused to obey the verdict and appealed six times intermittently in the five years since.
Finally, on 1 July 2001, the Anhui Provincial High People's Court made a final ruling to commute Yingsheng's death sentence from a two-year suspended sentence to life imprisonment.
The judge made a final decision, and Yu Yingsheng, the 34-year-old assistant to the district head, was buried in the second half of his life.
Yu Yingsheng in prison felt very uncomfortable, his wife who had been with him for many years was suddenly abused and killed by strangers, and now he was in prison again, and his seven-year-old son was left unattended, like an orphan.
And what saddened him the most was that during these many court trials, the cold eyes of his son and father-in-law and mother-in-law looked at him, as if he was really the murderer of Han Lu.
As soon as he thought of this, Yu Yingsheng's heart was like a knife, and he even wanted to end his life in prison.
Fortunately, his parents and elder brother Yu Ningsheng believed in him very much and often came to visit him. The family comforted Yu Yingsheng and said that after a long time, the truth would definitely be revealed to the world, and they would definitely help him seek justice outside the prison.
Later, Yu Yingsheng also figured it out, he asked his family to help him buy a large number of law books, self-study legal knowledge, and passed the self-study examination for higher education in law while in prison.
As soon as he was free, he would write a letter to the court and the procuratorate to complain, indicating that he had been unjustly imprisoned.
The truth is revealed, and the murderer is finally punished
After years of re-appeal, his case finally came to his attention.
In May 2013, Li Geming, a police officer from the Provincial Public Security Department, took over the case and found suspicious points in the previous files.
In addition to the fact that the semen DNA of the suspect who sexually assaulted Han Lu did not match, in fact, on the day of the crime, two other fingerprints were taken from the room, but no in-depth investigation was conducted at that time.
On May 31, 2013, the Anhui Provincial Supreme Court decided to file a case for review. On August 13, the court pronounced the verdict, holding that the facts of the original trial were unclear and the evidence insufficient, and ruled that Yu Yingsheng was not guilty.
At this time, seventeen years have passed since Yu Yingsheng's arrest, and he has been in prison for seventeen years. When he was imprisoned, he was a young man with high spirits, but now he is over fifty years old and has gray temples.
His parents and elder brother welcomed him out of prison together, and his elder brother Yu Ningsheng choked up and said, "The sky is finally dawning, and light has overcome darkness." ”
The Bengbu City Public Security Bureau also set up a special team to retry the case. In the past 17 years, forensic technology has made tremendous progress.
The police then uploaded the fingerprints of two other strangers and the semen samples taken from Han Lu's underwear to the database for DNA comparison, and finally locked up a person.
The identity of this person made all the personnel of the task force sigh that it was really unthinkable, because he turned out to be Wu Qinyuan, the captain of the first brigade of the Bengbu Public Security Traffic Police Detachment.
On November 27, 2013, Wu Qinyuan was arrested and brought to justice, but when the police showed his photo to Yu Yingsheng for identification, Yu Yingsheng felt strange that he had never seen this person.
The DNA evidence was conclusive, and Wu Qinyuan quickly confessed the facts of his crime.
