Gu Yan was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. After graduating from Shanghai Theater Academy, he has starred in many film and television dramas and plays. She has won the Best Supporting Actress Award, the Magnolia Award, and the Best Supporting Actress Award at the China Feitian Awards. In recent years, he has starred in TV series such as "My Mother-in-law is Coming", "In That Distant Place", and "My Daughter-in-law is the Queen". In 2022, he published the book "Let Life Bloom Again".

Over the years, he has devoted himself to studying watercolor painting in his spare time. The more than 20 watercolor paintings on display this time are Gu Yan's true feelings for the grass, flowers and scenes around her in recent years. Especially under the haze of the epidemic that has swept the world, Gu Yan hopes to bring people confidence and a better vision for the future through her bright and dazzling paintings.
