"At that time, when a villager in our village was doing farm work by the river, he found a strange thing in the water, so he fished it up, and when he saw that it was a baby fish, he called the village to deal with it. Yu Weiwen, director of the Agricultural Technology Service Center of Henggouqiao Town, told reporters.
The giant salamander, whose scientific name is giant salamander, is named after the cry of a child, and is a national second-class protected animal, as well as the world's longest surviving and most precious amphibian. It has strict requirements for the growing environment and can only survive in the presence of high-quality water.
It is not the first time that baby fish have appeared in Xian'an. In recent years, Xian'an District has always adhered to ecological priority and green development, and promoted the harmonious coexistence of man and nature. In the past three years, five wild salamanders have been found in Luguo Village, Henggouqiao Town, Xian'an District, and Hebei Village, Guanbuqiao Town, respectively, and have been rescued and released by relevant departments.
The baby fish found this time was 70 centimeters long, weighed more than 3 catties, and had no external injuries on the body surface. After the test was completed, the law enforcement officers immediately moved it to the Nanchuan Reservoir for release.
"A number of wild salamanders have been discovered, which shows that the water ecological environment in the region has been getting better and better in recent years, and the public's awareness of the protection of wild and rare fish is getting stronger and stronger. In the next step, the Agriculture and Rural Bureau of Xian'an District will continue to increase the protection of aquatic fish resources and the restoration of aquatic ecological resources, and make due contributions to the construction of the four best districts in the district.
