As one of the key control projects of "one bridge and three tunnels" of Luqiao Expressway, the left tunnel of the red agate tunnel is 7.417 kilometers long, and the right tunnel is 7.48 kilometers long, the import end is located in Laodian Town, Qiaojia County, and the exit end is located in Chongxi Town, Qiaojia County. In order to ensure that the tunnel will be broken through before June 2026, under the coordination of the Luqiao Expressway Construction Headquarters, the project will be excavated by two construction units from the inlet end and the outlet end in both directions. The left hole at the exit end took the lead in breaking through the kilometer mark, laying a solid foundation for the breakthrough of the tunnel.

Up to now, 20.8% of the total length of the left tunnel and 19.5% of the right tunnel have been completed.
Luqiao Expressway is a convenient passage connecting Zhaoyang, Ludian and Qiaojia, and is also an important carrier for building a comprehensive transportation network in Northeast Yunnan and actively integrating into and serving the national development strategy of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
