The list of judges of the Creative Chenggong Cultural and Creative Design Competition was announced

In order to deeply excavate the cultural resources of the whole district, stimulate cultural vitality with creativity, build a display and exchange platform, create a creative Chenggong cultural brand IP of "Chenggong Youli", build a platform for display and exchange of creative design forces, attract more people to participate in it and feel the cultural history and urban charm of Chenggong, and boost the cultural and creative industry of Chenggong District to a new level, on March 26, the 2024 Creative Chenggong Cultural and Creative Design Competition with the theme of "Presenting the Future" was officially launched in Chenggong District, Kunming City. At present, the list of review experts has been announced.

It is reported that the competition will last until August, with March to June being the stage of soliciting works, judging the entries from June to July, and awarding and displaying results in mid-August. The competition sets up three tracks: red and intangible cultural heritage design, flower cultural and creative design, and "youth tide play" cultural and creative design, and sets up corresponding awards, with a maximum prize of 10,000 yuan, and widely collects entries from the whole society. Entries must be combined with Chenggong culture and cultural tourism resources, with regionality, practicality, innovation, marketability, craftsmanship, demonstration and originality, and should be easy to identify, remember and promote.

The selection of the competition is divided into two parts: preliminary evaluation and re-evaluation, and the preliminary evaluation will be selected by the judging committee according to a certain proportion of shortlisted works. The shortlisted entries will be announced and voted for online popularity. The re-evaluation consists of on-site scoring by experts and online popularity voting, of which the on-site scoring of experts accounts for 70% of the total score, and the online popularity voting accounts for 30% of the total score, and the final ranking and award are made according to the total score. The competition has set up gold awards, silver awards, bronze awards, best popularity awards, college student newcomer awards and other awards. In addition, the organizing committee of the competition will register the copyright of the award-winning works free of charge, and the award-winning works will also receive cultural and creative products, souvenir development cooperation, exhibition and promotion opportunities. At the same time, the organizing committee of the competition will also promote the commercial transformation of design results.

In order to enhance the authority of the competition and enhance the close cooperation with 10 universities and other units in the competition, the competition invited experts and scholars in the cultural and creative industry to form a jury to put forward professional opinions on the planning of the competition system and the evaluation of works.

Chen Jinsong: Professor, Vice President of Yunnan University of the Arts, Member of the Steering Committee of Design Teaching in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education, Evaluation Expert of National Intangible Cultural Heritage Projects, Member of the Expert Committee of Guangming Daily Intangible Cultural Heritage Dissemination, Vice Chairman of Yunnan Artists Association.

3. Wang Weidong: Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities of Yunnan University, former Dean of the School of Art and Design, Young and Middle-aged Academic and Technical Leader of Yunnan Province, Art Judge of Yunnan Social Science Fund, and Arts and Crafts Judge of Yunnan Province. He has published more than 100 papers, presided over 2 projects of the National Social Science Foundation and the first batch of new liberal arts research and reform practice projects of the Ministry of Education.

4. Li Kunwu: cartoonist, Dianchi cultural ambassador. His main works include "Comic Yunnan 18 Monsters", "Painting Memories of Kunming", "Railway on the Clouds" and so on. He has been invited to do special large-scale exhibitions in France, Belgium and other countries. On March 9, 2022, he was awarded the "Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres".

5. Wan Fan: Professor, Master's Tutor, Dean of the School of Art and Design of Yunnan University of the Arts, Member of the China Artists Association, Member of the Yunnan Artists Association, Director of the Arts and Crafts Design Art Committee, Won the Excellence Award of 100 Outstanding Young Design Talents of 100 Chinese Designers. He has published 2 monographs, 4 textbooks, and 8 core journals.

6. Xu Jia: Professor, Master's Tutor, Dean of the School of Art and Media, Kunming University of Science and Technology, Member of the Industrial Design Teaching Guidance Subcommittee of the Mechanical Discipline Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, and Director of the Teaching and Guidance Committee of Industrial Design in Yunnan Province. He has published more than 100 papers, more than 10 utility model patents and more than 40 appearance patents authorized by the state.

7. Wu Huayu: Professor, Master's Tutor, Dean of Lancang-Mekong International Vocational College of Yunnan University for Nationalities, Vice President of Fiber Art Committee of China Arts and Crafts Association, Member of Yunnan Artists Association.
