Dragon and Tiger Mountain, legend has it that Zhang Daoling once made alchemy here, "Dan Cheng and Dragon and Tiger appear, the mountain is named because of". Longhu Mountain is the ancestral court of Taoism and one of the four famous mountains of Taoism.
Longhu Mountain Scenic Area is a UNESCO Global Geopark and a national 5A scenic spot.
There are many scenic spots in the scenic area, such as high-altitude plank road, Taohuazhou, mosquito-free village, Longhu Mountain, Tianshi Mansion and so on.
The scenic spot is dominated by the geological relics landscape with special geological and scientific significance, rare natural attributes, high aesthetic ornamental value and a certain scale and distribution range, and integrates other natural and cultural landscapes to form a unique natural area.
Global Geoparks, selected by UNESCO jury, aim to select more than 500 geological landscapes from around the world that are worthy of conservation for protection. As of April 2018, there are 140 Global Geoparks in 38 countries around the world, and China has 37 Global Geoparks, the largest number in the world.

Danxia cliff - test sword stone
Due to the uplift of the earth's crust, the clastic rock strata dominated by red conglomerate and sandstone were lifted above the datum of flowing water erosion, and a vertical joint with a strike of 190 degrees was produced in the uplift process of the primitive mountain. The rock on the right side fell to the foot of the mountain by gravity collapse along the joint plane, leaving a steep joint plane in the original mountain, revealing the red Danxia cliff. Folklore has it that this is the spectacle left by Zhang Tianshi's sword test, called "sword test stone".
Flattened caves, ancient walls
Under the combined action of water erosion, dissolution weathering and rock collapse, the soft rock layers are deepened inward for a long time, thus forming a huge flattened cave along the bedding. The cave body is generally controlled by the soft rock layer, and the top of the cave is gently arched in the longitudinal and transverse directions, and the bottom of the cave is relatively flat. Collapse rocks, cuttings, and rock chips are common at the bottom of the cave. The cave is about 7 meters long and 3 meters wide, and can accommodate about 20 people. Local folklore has it that this cave was once the secret command post of Shi Dakai, the winged king of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, when he moved to Jiangxi, and the earthen wall on the outside of the cave was also built at that time, and there are cannon holes on the wall.
Vertical caves, small fairy rocks
On the Danxia cliff wall, where vertical joints or fissures pass, the rocks are generally relatively broken. The water flow infiltrates and scours along the fissure surface, coupled with weathering and dissolution, so as to carry away the broken cuttings, forming grooves and pits with a long axis that is nearly upright and the length is much greater than the width and depth, which is called a vertical cave. The vertical cave here is similar to the world's first superb view "Fairy Rock" by the Luxi River, but the overall form is slightly smaller than that. Nature is amazing, amazing and amazing, and its beautiful name is "Little Fairy Rock".

The dynamic geological action in the earth causes the rock layer to produce a fault, and the flowing water scours and erodes along the fault to form a valley with a steep wall slope and a deep and wide dry width, which is called a barrier valley. According to the extension and connectivity of the barrier valley, it can be divided into the lane valley and the first line of the sky, when the mountain is not cut through the valley is called the lane valley, and the cut through is called the first line of the sky. The valley is about 50 meters deep
A glimmer of heaven
A glimmer of heaven belongs to a type of barrier valley. The barrier valley develops along the vertical joints, and after the action of flowing water erosion, weathering and dissolution, gravity collapse, etc., the joints and fissures gradually extend and expand, and when the mountain is cut through, it becomes a line of sky. The length of the line here is about 35m, the width is about 1.5m, the depth is about 30m, and the strike is 215°. The cliffs on both sides are steep, and only two or three people can pass parallel between the cliffs.
One-sided mountain - frog
Erosion of slightly sloping strata often results in asymmetrical ridges, known as one-sided hills. The one-sided mountain is a mountain composed of monoclinic rock layers, and the two slopes of the mountain are asymmetrical, one slope is consistent with the rock layer, and the other slope is almost vertical, short and steep with the rock layer. It is usually formed by the collapse of rock blocks along the cracks, becoming the front slope of a one-sided mountain. This mountain resembles a frog looking up at the sky, hence the name Yangtou Frog.
