"The growth cycle of carob is short, the yield is high, the market price is stable, at present, our village has built a total of 165 steel frame greenhouses, covering an area of more than 120 acres, for planting large greenhouse beans, the current growth of carob is gratifying, it is expected that it can be listed around the Dragon Boat Festival, and the yield per mu can reach more than 5,000 catties," said Wang Fuquan, secretary of the branch of Gaolou Village. The land of Gaolou Town is fertile, the sunshine is sufficient, the water resources along the Zhanghe River are abundant, relying on the unique location advantages and climatic conditions, the planted beans grow vigorously, have few pests and diseases, and are in excellent condition. Gaolou Town adheres to the principle of adapting measures to local conditions and driving by demonstration, adopts the development model of "village collective + farmer", and continuously stimulates the enthusiasm of farmers to plant beans through precise positioning, careful deployment, publicity, policy support, technical guidance, purchasing and sales, etc., and guides the masses to develop characteristic agricultural industries according to local conditions, which effectively promotes agricultural efficiency and farmers' income.
Since the beginning of this year, the party committee and the town government of Gaolou Town have adhered to the "three grasps and three promotions" action as the starting point, conscientiously implemented the county's "six grasps, six modernizations and six promotions" agricultural industry development ideas and "2 + 5 + N" modern agricultural industry layout, in accordance with the town's "12743" agricultural and rural work ideas, adhere to the guidance of party building, focus on adjusting the structure of agricultural industry, and strive to cultivate 7 village facilities and vegetable planting bases such as high-rise buildings, eight courtyards and high kilns in the Zhanghe River Basin.
