The Bentley Bentayga S Black Edition is an SUV designed to blend luxury with sporty performance. Although it weighs nearly 2.5 tons, it doesn't look very suitable as a sports model. But now, there's a version with a look that matches "confident chassis technology", and it's called the Bentayga S Black Edition.
Bentley claims that the Bentayga S Black Edition is its "most visually striking SUV to date". It is adorned with black wings, the first time in Bentley's 105-year history that they have been worn on the 'Fly B' logo. Despite the name "Black Edition," it is actually available in seven different colors, including orange, signal yellow, Klein blue, red, ice blue, fluorescent green, and black.
The exterior is enhanced by custom yellow exterior trim on the front bumper, side skirts, rear spoiler, and brake calipers. Like the standard Bentayga S, the Black version also comes with a body kit and all exterior chrome parts are replaced with gloss black. The 22-inch wheels are also painted in black, the headlights are tinted, and there is also a distinctive "Black Edition" badge on the rear pillar.
The interior of the Bentayga S Black Edition features more yellow details, including the seats, instrument cluster and doors. There is also an embroidered black "S" logo on the seats. The center console and instrument panel feature a new carbon fiber weave with a 3D effect. More gloss black replaces the usual chrome details in the air conditioning vents and throughout the car.
The Bentayga S Black is the same as the Bentayga S, with the option of a 4.0-litre turbocharged V8 engine or a plug-in hybrid 3.0-litre V6 engine. The performance of the V8 remains the same, with 542 hp and 770 Nm of torque, a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 290 km/h. The 456 hp V6 hybrid version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds and has a top speed of 254 km/h.
The price of the black special edition has yet to be announced, but it is expected to be slightly higher than the £180,000 Bentayga S and around £200,000.
