On April 9, the Uzbekistan Economic, Trade and Investment Tourism Promotion Conference hosted by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. Long Yuxiang, Executive Chairman of China International Culture Communication Center, attended the event and was awarded the Honorary Ambassador of Investment, Tourism and Culture by the Government of Uzbekistan of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the People's Republic of China.

Long Yuxiang expressed his gratitude to the Government of Uzbekistan and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China for their support. He said that the friendly exchanges between China and Ukraine have a long history, and under the strategic guidance and personal concern of the two heads of state, a new blueprint has been drawn for the development of the all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Ukraine in the new era and the building of a China-Ukraine community with a shared future from a higher starting point. The China International Culture Communication Center attaches great importance to exchanges and cooperation with Uzbekistan in the fields of culture, tourism, economy and trade, and will further strengthen communication and contact with the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China, thoroughly implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, and make every effort to deepen and expand China-Uzbekistan cooperation in various fields, so as to make new contributions to the sustained, healthy and stable development of China-Uzbekistan relations. Hong Kong is an international financial, shipping and trade center, an important gateway of the "Belt and Road", and has important advantages in international exchanges and cooperation.
Speech by Arziyev Farhod
Ambassador of Uzbekistan to China Arziyev Farkhod said in his speech that Uzbekistan and China have a lot of cooperation in various fields, and hopes to strengthen cooperation with Hong Kong enterprises in many fields such as economy, trade, investment and other fields within the framework of cooperation between the two regions. It is hoped that through this event, Hong Kong entrepreneurs can have a better understanding of the investment environment in Uzbekistan and broaden the space for cooperation between the two sides.
Chan Kwok-ki delivered a speech
The Chief Secretary for Administration of the HKSAR Government, Mr Chan Kwok-ki, said in his speech that Hong Kong, as an international trade centre, is committed to maintaining a sound trade and investment environment and promoting the free flow of capital, talents, goods and information. Uzbekistan was Hong Kong's largest trading partner in Central Asia in 2022, accounting for about 67% of Hong Kong's total trade in Central Asia.
Ikhtiar Nyazmuradov introduced the investment environment, preferential policies and potential projects in Uzbekistan
Ikhtiar Niyazimuradov, Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China, gave a detailed introduction to Uzbekistan's investment environment, preferential policies and potential projects. He said: Uzbekistan will continue to promote economic reforms, put forward more open policies, and provide more investment and cooperation opportunities for international investors.
The seminar announced the establishment of the Uzbekistan Economic, Trade and Investment Cultural Centre in Hong Kong on April 10, and appointed Chen Wenxian, general manager of Jihong Strategic (International) Investment Co., Ltd., as the director of the centre. Chen Wenxian said that the center will become an important hub for promoting economic cooperation, trade and investment between Uzbekistan, China and the Asia-Pacific region, and he will fully lead the center to play a good role as a bridge to promote business, trade, tourism and people-to-people exchanges between the two places.
