Hanchuan is the county and city with the largest lotus root planting area in Hubei Province, with a lotus root planting area of about 160,000 mu. In addition to supplying local lotus fields, the "space lotus" lotus root seeds planted by lotus farmers are also exported to Hubei, Hunan, Anhui and other places.

Before and after the Qingming Festival, the seedlings of the space lotus can be dug 3,000 to 4,000 plants a day, and they are now dug and sent to various places, and about mid-June, the space lotus can be listed on a large scale.
