Recently, it has been reported by the media that the Wuling Starlight EV will be officially launched at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, which opens on April 25. In fact, the Wuling Starlight PHEV was launched as early as December last year, and with its excellent product strength and relatively low price, it achieved monthly sales of more than 10,000 in January this year. It's a pity that the Wuling Starlight pure electric version has been delayed in the future, making many consumers who are looking forward to the pure electric version wait for a long time, but fortunately, they still waited in the end.
In terms of appearance, the new car has a different front face shape from the plug-in hybrid version, using a closed grille with more new energy characteristics, the headlight group is still a split design, but the daytime running light strip is no longer a through-type layout, but has a narrow and sharp style, and the high and low beams are hidden in the fog lamp area intake below, and connected to the through lower grille, supplemented by a black banner mesh filling, and there is an additional huge front lip at the bottom, which looks more layered.
The side of the body is similar to the plug-in hybrid version, with a smooth fastback transition and a straight and simple waistline, outlining a well-proportioned and slender stance. Semi-concealed door handles, low-drag two-tone wheels, chrome window edging and other elements have not been left behind, adding a touch of style to the car. In terms of dimensions, the length, width and height of the car are 4835/1860/1515 mm, and the wheelbase is 2800mm, positioning it as a mid-size sedan.
At the rear, the tail box has an upturned rear wing at the end of the boot, and a continuous tail light cluster clings to the bottom, and there are additional sinuous folds on either side of the light cluster, which effectively enhances the car's identity. The rear bumper is finished in black with a banner texture and chrome strips, adding a touch of sophistication to the car.
In terms of interior, the new car is equipped with the popular dual large-size floating LCD screens, the double-spoke multi-function steering wheel adopts a flat-bottom structure, the middle island area provides knob shifting, wireless charging panels and other configurations, and the through-type air conditioning outlets and layered door panel decorations have not fallen, and the overall texture is excellent.
In terms of power, the new single motor is standard, but there are two types of motors with a maximum power of 100 kW and 150 kW. In terms of range, the car is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack with a capacity of 41.9 kWh and 54.3 kWh, corresponding to a range of 410 km and 510 km, respectively.
