"We are winemakers and equestrian enthusiasts. In our view, wine is very similar to equestrianism, and both share a relentless quest for skill, refinement, power, nature and beauty. ”
- Thanh Berg Bell Winery
The story of the winery
Barry Waitte, founder and winemaker of Tamber Bey, had a passion for wine when he was in college – a wine from Beaulieu Vineyard that instantly fell in love with him and changed the course of his life. After graduating, he spent 20 years in the high-tech sector before deciding to switch to wine, buying two vineyards in the Napa Valley and studying with long-time admirers such as Robert Mondavi and Andy Beckstoffer.

Jennifer Waitte is an excellent equestrian. In 2000, Barry bought a horse from Jennifer. Seven years later, the love of horseback riding, as well as the courage and sportsmanship to excel in equestrian competitions, have forged an indissoluble bond between the two, and have witnessed their acquaintance, acquaintance and love.

The name "Tamborina" is also associated with equestrianism – Barry originally purchased two endurance racing horses that lived in two stables named Tamborina and Bayamo, from which they were put together. In addition, three of the winery's red wine blends are also named after the colours and patterns of the horse's fur. The owners share an equal passion and love for wine and equestrian sports, both of which they see as a relentless quest for skill, refinement, strength, nature and beauty.
