The cooperation between Didi and GAC Aion is actually to mass produce Didi's unmanned driving solutions, and the commercial operation of unmanned driving technology in China has also been relatively mature, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Suzhou, Changsha and other places have opened up the commercial operation of unmanned driving, and Baidu, the earliest commercial operation service provider of unmanned driving in China, has completed more than 3 million unmanned order services.
Therefore, in the long run, driverless or driverless flying taxis are actually core efforts to reduce driver costs.
However, an obvious practical problem is also in front of us, the current operating costs of online car-hailing drivers are far lower than those of unmanned driving, whether it is a driverless taxi or an unmanned flying, its manufacturing cost and operating cost compared with the current online car-hailing driver is not necessarily advantageous.
