Zengjing Lane is located in the west corner of Zengjing Pu Miao Cause, today's Zengjing Lane, is the West Street full of people, the alley is the ancient house of buildings, parking lots, and according to the residents of Zengjing Lane, 50 years ago, it was still a suburban scenery, many vegetable farmers have been farming here for generations. There are large and small ponds around Zengjing Lane, the largest pond is called "Hucuo Pond", with an area of more than ten acres, and the smallest one is called "Scattered Pond", with an area of only two or three acres. In addition to farmland, ponds, canals, and small stone bridges, there are large areas of longan trees, banyan trees, mulberry trees, etc. Now these have disappeared, as if they were a world away, but the names of "Hucuo Pond" and "Xiaodu Pond", together with the beautiful pastoral scenery, still remain in the memories of many residents of Zengjing Lane.

The combination of Chinese and Western styles of the Lin family gate is unique and beautiful.
Lin Zugeng introduced, the door of the Lin family's big house looks narrow, in fact, there were seven or eight rooms on both sides of the Lin family in the past, the West Street belongs to the prosperous land of Quanzhou since ancient times, every inch of land is gold, the Lin family will be on both sides as shops, leaving a private house gate in the middle. The Lin family house is a traditional residential style in southern Fujian, but the girdle of the gate is arched, and the left and right sides are equipped with spired annular columns, which has the style of Islamic architecture, which is the trace of Sino-foreign exchanges in Quanzhou since ancient times, and also shows that the most popular architectural language was used at that time when it was built.

Lin Zugeng said that the Lin family has a couplet: Since the ancestors have accumulated virtue for hundreds of years, loyalty and filial piety have been resigned to me, I hope that the descendants will inherit the family for thousands of generations of poetry, calligraphy and literature. The Lin family lives in Quanzhou West Street, and the generation row is "competing for the stars for the country, Yuan Deshi praying, the ancestral training is long, and the embryo is Yongjiacheng", to the generation of great-grandfather Lin Shichuan, the business has been very large, and there are trade contacts with the countries of the Maritime Silk Road. Lin Shichuan built the Lin family house in the third year of Xuantong in the Qing Dynasty (1911), and after the house was built, he hung this couplet in the hall. At that time, in addition to the Lin family's big house, the Lin family had real estate near the Quanzhou Theater on West Street and opposite the West Church of Christ Springs. My great-grandfather was very prestigious in the ancient city, and my grandmother was the daughter of the Sticky Family, a descendant of the Jin royal family in Taikui Lane.

Lin Zugeng followed his father to various places when he was a child, due to the hardships of life, he couldn't go to school normally, he helped to do school affairs at school during the day, and his father tutored him alone at night, he successively studied in Xiyu Primary School and Shengwen Primary School intermittently for several semesters, and he was still unable to go to school normally in junior high school, and sometimes he had to take a break to work to earn tuition fees before going to school. After graduating in 1952, he was admitted to the Department of Chemistry of Xiamen University, and later served as a doctoral supervisor and concurrently served as vice president and president of Xiamen University.
In 2017, Xiamen University awarded Professor Lin Zugeng the highest honor award of Xiamen University - "Nanqiang Outstanding Contribution Award".

In Zengjing Lane, there is a famous "champion well", the champion Zeng Conglong (1175-1236) in the fifth year of the Southern Song Dynasty Qingyuan (1199), it is said that he was born in the home by this well, and this well was later called "Zhuangyuan Well".
The well plate of the champion well is made of granite, octagonal in shape, with two boreholes, the side length is 38 cm, the diagonal is 92 cm, and the bore diameter is 23 cm. On the south wall of the champion well, there are three regular script characters "champion well" under the inscription when Sun Zeng Shiqian, who was descended from the dragon, repaired the champion well in the 14th year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1809). On both sides of the Zhuangyuan Well, there are the protection monument erected by the Quanzhou Municipal Cultural Management Committee in 1984 and the protection monument of the fourth batch of cultural protection units in the city in 1997.
Over time, the champion well has now been silted.
During the Song Dynasty, the "Longshan Yan School" Zeng family had 4 prime ministers and 1 champion (Zeng Gongliang, Zeng Xiaokuan, Zeng Huai, Zeng Conglong), known as "Zeng Banchao" and "one door and four phases". Zeng Conglong is the fourth grandson of Zeng Gongliang, the famous minister of the Northern Song Dynasty, and Zeng Gongliang is the main compiler of the mainland's first official encyclopedia of military science, "Wujing General Essentials", which is world-famous.
Zeng Conglong, the word Junxi, the first name is a dragon, alias Cloud Hat Layman, although he was born in a family of eunuchs, but in Zeng Conglong's generation, the family background is not as prominent as before. He studied diligently from a young age, and was a 24-year-old high school champion, because the name of "a dragon" hindered the sacredness, Emperor Ningzong gave the name "from the dragon" in the "Book of Changes" "cloud from the dragon, wind from the tiger" sentence. Ning Zong praised Zeng Conglong in "The Imperial Pen Changing the Name", "the article with the longitude and latitude, is the world's virtuous talent, with the strategy of the economy, as the guest of the kingdom".
The remnants of the dragon's former residence can still be seen before the 60s of the last century, but now it has disappeared, leaving a clogged champion well.
Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty recorded in the "Chronicles of Jinjiang County": "Zhuangyuan Well, in front of Kuixing Building in Zengjing Lane, Zengjing Shop. Legend has been from the dragon in the champion before, the well at the door of the house, where someone passes, there will be a head appear in the well, the descendants build a building here, worship the statue of the god of Dakui, here is also called "the head of the head".
He once served as an official from the dragon, and once said that he cultivated morality and politics, accumulated talents, and prepared for the border. When he served as a pacification envoy in Hunan, he pacified the people, and the prestige was parallel, and the scholars were raised. His posthumous works include "Zeng Shaoshi's Poetry Collection", which is written in the poem "Shunxi Pavilion in Quzhou": The red light sinks in the west and temporarily unsadds, and the museum is not safe by chance. Xinfeng drinks alone who is a couple, sitting on a bamboo pole in front of the window. From the poem, it is not difficult to read that this champion of Quanzhou still does not reduce the tranquil side of traditional Chinese literati in addition to tedious official affairs.
Gleaning
Miaoyin Palace, No. 368 West Street, also known as Miaoyin Hall, is the realm temple of Zengjingpu Miaoyinjing, and enshrines Wu Zhenren, the emperor of Baosheng. The age of the construction of the palace is unknown, and it originally sat west to east, with an area of 120 square meters. During the Republic of China, part of West Street was demolished when it was widened, and part of it was occupied in 1980, and it has been rebuilt in recent years, with an area of about 40 square meters. The door couplet reads: Zengjing blessed land to save holy relics, Miao Yin ancient temple worship the god of medicine. It points out several major characteristics such as Zeng Jingpu, Miao Cause, and Wu Zhenren, the god of medicine.

According to the memories of the elders around Zengjing Lane, there was a pond at the junction of Zengjing Lane and Fengsheng Lane, which may be the site of the garden from Longfudi.
The inner branch alleys of Zengjing Lane are staggered, and several corners of the wall facing the entrance of the alley stand a stone dare to be, which has the role of "blocking the road" in folk customs, which is also the remnant of the traditional ancient alley culture.
