For users who love domestic products, spending 1499 yuan to buy a Moore Thread MTT S80 that can only play DX11 games seems to be a bit unsupportable.
But if a domestic graphics card that can support4K encoding (decoding), has very low power consumption, can play "LOL" smoothly, and has 4GB of independent video memory, it only costs 399 yuan, and there should be a desire to start.
In June 2023, Moore Threads launched the MTT S80/70, which is the first domestic graphics card that can play DX11 games really smoothly.
Now Moore Threads has launched an entry-level graphics card MTT S30, priced at 399 yuan.
The specifications of MTT S30 are about 1/4 of MTT S80, equipped with 1024 MUSA architecture cores (stream processors), GPU frequency 1.3GHz, FP32 single-precision floating point computing power of 2.7TFOPS, and also equipped with 4GB LPDDR4 video memory, bit width 128Bit, frequency 4266MHz, bandwidth 68GB/s, and power consumption of the whole card 40W.
In terms of game support, the MTT S30 can run most of the mainstream DX11 games, but considering that the MTT S80 is only barely smooth, the MTT S30 is not aimed at gamers.
The most outstanding thing about MTT S30 is that it integrates MUSA intelligent multimedia engine 2.0, supports H.264/H.265/AV1 codec, plus extremely low power consumption, and supports X86, ARM, Loongson LoongArch architecture, so this piece is very suitable for office entertainment.
P.S. Intel's 6th Gen Core processors do not support H.265/AV1 encoding and decoding for their GPUs, and the MTT S30 is also suitable for low-cost upgrades.

Overall, the MTT S30's performance is about 40% weaker than the Intel UHD 770, and the only game that can run smoothly is League of Legends.
4. Online video experience: Support 8K AV1 hardware decoding
1080P resolution, AVC hardware decoding, frame rate 29.4FPS, bit rate 5127Kbps, playback 10366 frames, dropped 1 frame, CPU usage 1%, GPU utilization 10%.
3840*2160 resolution, AVC hardware decoding, video frame rate 29.4FPS, bit rate 17019Kbps, playback 10064 frames, a total of 2 frames, CPU occupancy 1%, GPU occupancy 30%.
7680*4320 resolution, AV1 hardware decoding, frame rate 30FPS, bit rate 19394Kbps, playback 10083 frames, 13 frames dropped, CPU occupancy is still 1%, GPU occupancy reaches 47%.
10083 frames dropped 13 frames, which can be understood as every 30 seconds of video playback will have a 1 second frame rate of 29FPS, and the other 29 seconds are full frames of 30FPS, which does not affect the viewing experience.
We used Furmark for 70 minutes to test the oven, and the MTT S30 was only able to reach a maximum temperature of 67 degrees, and the whole oven process was almost inaudible.
In addition, the latest version of GPU-Z can already identify some information about the graphics card.
5. Summary: 399 yuan domestic graphics card suitable for office entertainment
First of all, a brief summary of the content of this test!
1. Game performance
At present, the gaming performance of the MTT S30 is not as good as that of the Intel UHD 770, with a gap of about 40%. Compared with the MTT S80, it is about 1/4 of the latter.
League of Legends and Dota 2 are the only mainstream games that can run smoothly with this graphics card, and the other DX11 triple-A titles have a frame rate of around 10FPS.
2. Temperature and noise
When we tested the MTT S80 a year ago, we couldn't run Furmark, but now the new driver is ready to work well with the oven application.
We ran a 70-minute oven test with FurMark, and the MTT S30 was only able to reach out at a maximum temperature of 67 degrees, with virtually no noise being heard.
3. 4K codec
MTT S30 has very complete encoding and decoding capabilities, which can support H.264/H.265/AV1 hardware encoding and decoding.
When the hardware decodes the high-bitrate video of station B at 1080P resolution and 4K resolution, it can almost achieve zero frame drops, and it does not occupy the CPU at all.
We also conducted a decoding test for 8K HD video, and the frame drop rate is about 1‰, which basically does not affect the viewing experience.
4. Which users are suitable for
This graphics card is suitable for users who have no gaming needs or only play "LOL" and "Dota 2", as well as some scenarios that require a bright card, of course, provided that you are willing to support domestic graphics cards.
In addition, for students who want to buy GT740, you need to know that this graphics card does not even support AV1 and 4K HEVC decoding, while MTT S30 has more complete decoding capabilities and can support 8K AV1 decoding.
It is quite satisfactory that a domestic entry-level graphics card can have such a performance.
